  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

I'm munching on a bad chef's grilled cheese (made toast, melted cheese on said toast in microwave because I didn't want to dirty a pan or wait for it to cook).

We had Corn on the Cob,
Fast Sauce (Think Cacciatore base), plus grilled chicken breasts, cut up.

Tonight -
Same sauce on spaghetti, part of roasted game hen.

Homemade pasta salad: orzo (rice-shaped pasta), fresh spinach, sun-dried tomato, kalamata olives, capers, grilled chicken slices, store-bought pesto sauce

Marinated Grilled chicken (still had some in freezer from party, lol) sliced, served with the cacciatore fast sauce.

International food today, yummy!!

LUNCH: "POLISH PLATE" from a Food Cart in Portland - Polish sausage no bun, bigos (hunter stew), stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut ansd mushroom pierogis

I think food carts are mostly a "portland thing" but starting to catch on in other places

DINNER: vegetarian Peruvian paella-type dish

Sweet Corn on the cob - 3 ears.
Had lasagna for lunch, the corn tasted great, didn't need a lot else.

I like paella. The International Lunch sounds pretty good, too.

Scot bought these thin pork chops, I will grill them but won't like them.

I will bake potatoes on the grill, and grill the pork chops (too thin) and corn

Had a Bacon, Cheddar Cheesburger at the "Keg" underneath the hall where Great Big Sea played - Concert was good - small, around 600 people I think. 400 "mosh pit" style - standing on the floor in front of the stage from 8-10:30; 180 sitting in balcony.

They said ours was the last stop in the states on this leg of their tour - sounds like they're headed back towards New Foundland and Labrador for Canadian Thanksgiving later this month.

Was a lot of fun. Good Music.

Sauerkraut, kielbasa, pinto beans, scallop potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, sweet ice tea.

Super late lunch!

Beer Battered Fish Fry
NE Clam Chowder
Side salad w/ Balsamic.
Roll
Coffee

Ground goat meat stew with fresh corn, onions, pearl onions, seasoned with Jamaican curry. I cracked in an egg from my neighbor's chickens and reheated. When the egg was cooked, dinner was on.
