  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Damn.

I haven't had cabbage rolls ...since... since

tomorrow night after I hit Safeway...|

Our local Greek Restaurant makes good cabbage rolls but better Grape leaves rolls

I just looked in my old and used

family receipts book and I don't

have one.

Anybody got a good one for a kitchen

challenged gourmand?

Beef sheperds pie

green salad

sour dough

sharp cheddar

in about 4.5 hours.

Leftovers.
Ham and potatoes.

Lefty - do you have a Stuffed Pepper recipe?
rice, ground beef, green peppers - season to taste- some garlic, black pepper, a little salt. Maybe some onions, saute'ed.

Same basic for stuffed cabbage, just cabbage instead of peppers.
Tomato sauce, grated Cheddar if you want.

possible language barrier here.

Do you mean bell peppers? those green, yellow or red things that go

in salad ? Or Green peppers as in Jalapenos that you stuff with cheese ,

onion and maybe some tomatoe? Dirty rice on the side.

Only receipt I have with bells includes spicy sausage.

And orange, too.
Yes, Bell peppers, lefty dear,
just like the head of part of your anatomy.

And, would using spicy sausage AND ground beef be
such a terrible variation for stuffed cabbage or grape leaves?

Get creative - this is where the fun in cooking is.

Trust me poopsie,

I know where to stuff my sausage

and believe me,

it's Always spicy.

Try Apricot Nectar - it has a higher viscosity than regular juices, so it feels soothing to the throat. And, it's not as acidic as OJ.

Cream of Tomato Soup?
(Or Cream Squash - any thicker consistency pure'e of a soup.)
At least there are a lot more options than were readily available 20 years ago.

sore throats............

Bloody mary with double shots and extra heavy

with the lemon and the Tapatio. Works on

tonsil problems too...|

stay away from cream stuff...milk is a mucus inducer

this evening I will be making oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Number ONE rule of weight loss.

Eat no White at night.

(food items only, people don't count)

What is this thing called "dinner"?

It seems an alien notion this evening.

What is this thing called supper?
(I had a late lunch, tired, no one's made an offer to feed me, lol.)

What,

your hand eye mouth co-ordination has so deteriorated

that you can't even 'fork' for yourself?
