What did you have for dinner?

It was my mom's birthday, so we took her out for dinner.

New Mediterranean place serving meze only, loads of small dishes to share of Turkish, Greek, Moroccan and a few Spanish- and Italian-inspired origins. We ate ourselves into a coma. All in all, it was brilliant.

Some gyoza and some rice; it was a basic supper, but it was very good.

2 hot dogs, 1/2 bag of bbq chips, diet pepsi and a bowl of chocolate rainforest crunch ice cream. Just the perfect thing for an overweight diabetic.

I didn't name the dish but it was brown rice, kidney beans, more vegies than is generally considered normal and enough chili to make me sweat in a very unglamourous fashion.

Chinese food! All you can eat buffet. First time my boyfriend and I could afford to go out for dinner in months, and first time we've had Chinese food in... god knows how long. Was delicious.

Tonight I was a bit healthier and made marinaded garlic lime chicken breast, grilled potatoes with onion and grilled veggies which had onion, cucumber and yellow squash...

Plus I baked off a nice baguette....

I had a good dinner this evening:

My mom's favorite meal — New England boiled dinner. Cabbage, carrots, potatoes with the skin, and a ham steak all boiled in a big pot. Add Harvard beets and some biscuits and you have a pretty good dinner!

I love that moms are the best. Sounds so delicious.

I ordered in pizza......I am so jealous of you.
