...I want one, but I have no idea what you'd call them and I can't find a picture anywhere to show you guys, But guys usually wear them to show off the sides of the torso :p
 
I can't fucking STAND those shirts; You might as well not even wear a shirt.


But those kinds of shirts were extremely common to see when I was driving through the South. Try any clothing store there.
 
why don't you just buy a t shirt and cut out the sides?

I guess it's like this,except it doesn't look as well on such skinny guys. This shirt is more to show off your muscular frame.
 
I think they're called "shooters" or "shooter tank tops."

I took this screenshot from a TV show that was aired in 2009... it's the Nu-Rave look which takes elements from 80s fashion.
 
I think they're called torn shirts.
 
My mom called them rags. P
 
They look juvenile to me because low class kids & teenagers wore them.
I do like a good wife-beater because many manly men wear them.
 
As someone has already said, you don't buy them like that (unless you're gullible). You buy a muscle shirt and rip them open down the sides yourself. It's very easy.

I never got the real point of them; but then I never got the point of neckties, either.
