What do you know about Wisconsin?

Mr. Ohio caught my eye (and others too).

I didn't know Piggly Wiggly was in WI at all. They probably list any WI stores on a website. It might be really easy to visit all the Piggly Wigglys in Wisconsin.

Oh, having pubs/bars WAY OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, miles from the nearest town of any kind, is something I've seen in WI far more than any other state. The stupid thing about this, of course, is that EVERYBODY who leaves there has to leave in a car or truck.

We also have the highest percentage of bars per capita than any other state...

Not sure how I feel about that... :?

Oh, yes.

Laura Ingalls Wilder is one of the many prides of Wisconsin...

Just curious what you know about my state.

;)

That it's shaped like a left-handed mitten, there's cheese and dairy most everywhere, not to mention beer, and that the last time I was in Madison, (July 4th weekend 2006) I fell in love with the whole of the state.

My friends said that I could never live there, when I asked why?

The said, "Tex, listen very carefully....six...feet....of....snow."

So I want to win the lotto, and have a place to stay up there in the summer! :D

i have a friend who is originally from wisconsin.

I always thought of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose ingenuity, I cannot stop admiring and of Sen. Joe McCarthy and his becoming the most Unamerican, I could possibly think of.

Other than that, I have never had the guts to travel the flyover country. I am deeply coastal person and I wish, someone kicked me out of my complacency.

Good!

Yeah, only 3/10 of our Congresspeople are Republicans...

My area is pretty liberal. :D

^It's always fun to hear people try to pronounce Oconomowoc...

Them Wisconsin Badgers. Who will play in the Outback Bowl vs. Tennessee on Jan. 1. And who's loss against the Buckeyes are much appreciated in helping them get to the BCS national championship game for the second straight year.

I vacationed there often, as a kid, staying at my grandparents' lake place near Hayward.

All my memories are of green, warm summers spent fishing, boating, and swimming.

Returning once as an adult to Madison, again in summer, I was stunned by the beauty of the hills, farms, and lakes. I was also shocked to go into a McDonalds and see an entire crew of nothing but caucasian kids.

If I thought I could handle the cold (I'm sure I can't), I think I could happily live in Wisconsin.

I want to take the cheese curds and rub them all over my body. They are so freaking good dontchaknow?

I spent a good $700-800 on beer/alcohol/food at Taylor and Dunn's when I was in Milwaukee for 6 weeks. #-o

I've knew a lot of people from Milwaukee when I lived in San Francisco, and I mostly learned that it is very cold there - summers are short and winters are long. Also, people in Milwaukee do not have the same accent as people in other parts of Wisconsin. Milwaukee seems to be like an island in the state in the same way that New Orleans is an island in Louisiana or Chicago in Illinois.

When UW plays in the Rose Bowl, Wisconsin tourists go swimming in the ocean here in January, apparently unaware of how cold the water is (We're not Florida!). They also tend to be pasty white (in January, at least) and really stand out in Los Angeles.

Always like visiting WS. Nice people... even Jeffrey Dahmer didn't have a problem meeting nice guys.

Pretty state, liberal minded, Green Bay Packers, lakes, hot guys in Madison.
