  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What do you require to sleep soundly?

i've fallen asleep in many different spots (chair in the library, at my desk, on the floor) so i don't have too many requirement. maybe just a few pillows and blanket. even some music helps me fall asleep.

I rarely sleep more than 5 hours a night and I am often awakened every hour or so..Sometimes,say every hour on the hour at 40 minutes after the hour..Weird..

I usually like to have the tv on to the news or something that is not screaming at me,a pillow between my knees and a couple of other pillows for support..

I need relative quiet. I don't need total silence, but a cool room will be fine for me. I can drink coffee or tea and still get a good night's sleep, thank goodness.

As a by the by, I like to wake up to a blow job but I hardly ever get it.

Flannel sheets, cool temp, background noise to fall asleep to. My normal sleep cycle is from around 9 PM to 3 AM. My internal clock is set to wake up between 3 and 3:30 AM. I have tried no caffeine after noon, nothing to drink after 5 PM and I still wake up needing to go to the bathroom. Even as a kid I was wide awake at an early hour, was never able to sleep until noon like my friends did.

Talk radio and complete darkness. Takes forgever for me to fall asleep, unless i fall asleep with headphones in my ears, no sound coming out of them, they just knock me out for some reason :s

I wear ear plugs, I use a bandanna a blindfold (can't think of a better word now. nightmask maybe? ) I also use a body pillow to cuddle. I also run the ceiling fan unless it gets freezing cold, which it seldom does here.

My room is never dark. I have the lights blinking from my wireless router and a few other tiny lights from other electrical devices.

a nice warm bed and quiet

Lately I use to be able to sleep no problem, not I'm usually falling asleep when the sun is about to come up over the trees. Plus after I put away the fans due to the cold weather I have been having issues sleeping in a quiet room, just makes me feel uneasy, tried all the sleep aid pills and those don't work, warm milk, tea that helps me sleep, banana.

All that crap doesn't work at all, I figured I can fully fall asleep at 6am or 7am. I can even sleep good when there is noise in my house, but when I hear people talking to others like on the phone I can wake up and hear the conversation but then fall back asleep and wake up at 3pm.

I wish I knew how to solve my panic attacks when sleeping at night.

Big bed, crisp sheets, heavy blankets, cool room and the sound of wind outside

i usually need to beat off in order to sleep soundly...

sometimes i wonder when this will go away...

A good wank first always ensures a blissful night's rest. Other than that, the practical things I require for a good night's sleep are:

1. My own bed (never sleep soundly when I'm away and in other people's or in hotel/motel beds).

2. Two pillows.

3. Cotton sheets.

4. No PJs or underwear (always sleep in the raw).

5. Blankets, not a doona .... LOATHE doonas, I get way too hot underneath them.

6. Darkness and quiet.

7. Not going to bed till after midnight. I'm a night owl and can't fall asleep unless I go to bed really late.

Whether it's the fan, the CPU or the deranged serial killer rocking himself at the corner of my room, I need something that hums to make me go sleep.

Oh, and oddly enough I need to know that the next day have been planned for. And I don't like waking up to uncompleted work.

Hot shower plus lavender oil plus my pillows and my blanky-wanky (blanket) and Mr Hugsie-wagsie (bolster...but don't tell him that he is one).

And I need to mildly "vibrate" my right leg continuously for like 5 to 10 minutes. I don't why I do it but the rocking sensation puts me to sleep.

This is why I don't get long-term relationships. ;)

I think with me sleeping alone I am really wanting to have somebody sleeping next to me, I don't know I hate having to get up having a panic attack and nobody there to help me relax. ](*,)

using my phone 10-15mins before i sleep puts me to sleep like a baby every night!

My fan.

I have a fan that I run at night just for the hum it makes.
