Wow - two people who say God bless you.

I must remember to subscribe to this thread, it'll be fascinating to see the results. No really, it will.

Used to say Gazunheit! but since I live in a Spanish speaking country, we say Salud. (health) Don't much care for god bless, as it assumes too much.

Nothing.

If they have a sneezing fit I say "You might wanna dial it back on the snuff, ok?"

I actually say "curse you" but I say it so fast it almost sounds like bless you.. after a moment they always look at me askew like they heard me but wasn't sure if I had actually said that or not...

Its funny - in India the guy who sneezes says "excuse me" or "sorry"
The Brits never taught us to use the "Bless you" thing

I say "salud" which is spanish for health...much like Gazunheit is german for health i believe...i believe its the same in french too...

If they sneeze anywhere near me, I tend to say, 'Fuck off! Don't sneeze over me you disease-ridden cunt!'.

.........

I say nothing. And if someone says "God bless you" to me when I sneeze I tell them back "Thank you, God damn you" with a smile. :D

I suppose most commonly I say "gesundheit", but depending on the company, it may be "bless you", "salud", "benedicte", or something off the wall, like, Would you mind putting that back where it came from?", or "Whoa -- I thought all the volcanoes around here were dormant!", or "The shock wave will reach Japan in about twelve hours -- should we warn them?", or "Was that as good for you as it was for me?"

or to really warp a mind, "Was that as good for me as it was for you?"
