I'll tell you what I scream in his face every time he has a press conference. The sheriff's office and law enforcement are the strong arm of the Klan. 60 years ago police were pointing guns at black children during civil rights protests, they arrested Martin Luther King and other black dissenters no matter how peacefully they protested, they turned police dogs and fire hoses on black people. And not much has changed since then.

To make me happy? Start vetting, kick out all the Klansmen, start using the same kiddie gloves with non-violent black arrestees they use with white mass serial shooters, stop letting people die in your prison (we've had at least a dozen deaths in county jail over the past few years), stop doing car shows at black parties showing off his fancy whips and letting girls twerk on the hood and start community engagement. Charlotte is averging 2 shootings per week, sometimes 3 or 4 in a matter of days. He could've been preparing for this onslaught of violence instead he chose to harass our group of supporters who were simply feeding the community and offering rides home, hotels and legal counsel for people released from jail. Rather than serve the community he spent months harassing us and trying to shut us down, ultimately leading to a standoff with the entire sheriff's department where they arrested us and confiscated all of the items that were donated-- hundreds of dollars with of beverages, snacks and clothes that we gave to the homeless and people leaving jail.

I know a lot of Americans see law enforcement beating black people up every day on the news and get horny off of that, like, "Job well done fellas" but we actually want them to PROTECT and SERVE the community like they're supposed to. I'd like to go one week without hearing about a shooting in my city, or somebody dying in jail, or ANOTHER jail officer being arrested for providing contraband to inmates. He's lost no less than 7 officers over the past few years for shit like this. The jailhouse is the wild wild west with peope sleeping on the floor. Let's release those non-violent offenders! The DA isn't even prosecuting marijuana charges anymore so why are we arrested people for it?

I could go on for days. The people in Charlotte aren't safe and the sheriff is as impotent as can be.
