My good Father Brian's latest Video - this one regarding the University of Notre Dame not being granted a religious exemption from the HHS mandate to include Hormonal Control prescriptions in their employee and student health care plans.


I have replied to him in the You Tube thread. The p.s. just gives him a frame of reference that helps verify that yes, I DO know him personally - it was a Facebook post of his this past week.

Not all do. Just like not all people do.

Brian is young, and has yet to learn how little he really knows.

He and my son have mixed it up before. My son had to tell Brian and another friend to tone it down on my son's FB page.

Sadly, he makes the same error on contraception that Rome continues to stick to in allegiance to pagan philosophy and contradiction to the scriptures: the need to allow procreation comes from Aristotelian imperatives; scripture says we're to fill the earth -- it doesn't say overpopulate it, which is what Rome is encouraging.


His video on Pope Francis and capitalism is much better.

Well said. I think Francis is moving very decidedly back to the path that Christ has dictated for his apostles.

As for the UK Arch Bishop that is anti-gay marriage - virtually the entire church hierarchy is because that's what the Catholic church teaches, and Francis' predecessors selected much more conservative heads. I do not know the man at all. What I would ask you to do is to look, objectively, at his WHOLE slate of performance on ALL issues, not just his stance on gay marriage.

We have a new to us bishop, whom I am sure is more conservative than our bishop emeritus. Then, again, our Bishop Emeritus surprised the hell out of his appointing Pope when he found Christ's truer message and turned along that path, coming close to censure on occasion. Most of us love him all the more for it.

And, as I said, Brian is young, and too sure of his own positions - not unlike my son, who is working on his PhD.

I'm an old war horse who has learned more of life's lessons via the school of hard knocks. I also look in the mirror frequently.

I don't know that Brian knows who I am on YouTube, and there I have an advantage. But I have posted similarly on FaceBook, where I am on full display.
