What do you think people 100 years from now would say about JUB when they read the JUB archives?

"Can you believe those FILTHY Male-Humans would bounce on each others Dick like that? Look at'em go and they're SMILING as if it's pleasurable....My word, my word this is too much to take....Did you hear what that Animal just said?...What exactly does Fuck me harder mean?....After viewing this I need a strong Banana Martini on ice...... Thank the Gorillas in heaven we are now One Nation under Caesar, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all Apes."

We're not gonna evolve enough to have something other than the internet in 100 years?

I feel for the future then.

"Who was this Ram and why was he such a cunt? Team Lilbit for sure."

They will think it's funny that people had to steer their cars and other vehicles in our time. In their time it's all done by computers and you can only see traffic lights in museums.

They will see our period as dirty times when people still used fossil fuel for energy.

They will shake their heads when reading about the drug war and the financial structure of our time.

They will conclude that JUBbers formed a primitive society that worship white men as gods.

They will be learning about gays like we learn about neanderthals at the museum of natural history because in 100 years they will find the gay gene and will develop gene therapy to finally cure our queer fetishes.

I doubt the internet will be as we know it 100 years from now. I've read a few techno-articles about the future. Most of them say our computers of today will be long extinct. The desktop PC is already on it's way to being a relic of the 20th century. Keyboards will be considered ancient. Operating systems will evolve tremendously. TV's will become as thin as paper. A good gauge is to look back 100 years compared to now. in 1912, there were no computers, no internet, no cell phones, no cd's, no dvd's, no Apple, no Microsoft, no television. By that standard, probably everything we have today will be viewed as outdated junk or irrelevant.

You're stretching it too far. Look at the world before electricity and industrial revolution. For thousands of years not much radical shift was made in technology. Post industrial revolution we have seen radical shifts and constant innovation. Today, a lot of technology it is reaching a plateau and will slowly level out. There won't be brain implanted computers in 100 years and internet will still be internet just faster.

100 years from now?

We can't even hardly access information from 10 years ago anymore.

^What's the big black one, Borg?

(Is it black because "size does matter"?)

"Before my time" ?? :)

I think the color is irrelevant, and I do vaguely remember something before the 5.25" floppies (that also started out black), but I don't remember what they were put in. Large main frames (the size of a fridge), I think (?) before the smaller ones (shoe box sized) were invented.

I don't think so. I remember laser discs being about the size of an audio record (vinyl). I think it's really the precursor to the 5.25" floppy. As I said, I think they went into main frames, which were only found in universities, and government type places. Most people wouldn't recognize them.

I think Borg came the closest to an accurate guess.

By the year 2112, I believe that no one will be able to read the data that makes up JUB.

Did you know this has already happened with media from 1912? Yeah, they had recording media that we don't yet have the technology to decipher.

Are already outdated, and for the most part unreadable.

Cassette tapes

and VHS tapes

are nearly outdated, and on the verge of unreadable.

I'm sure within another 20 years CD/DVD's will be outdated and unreadable as well.

The ancients knew how to preserve information.

2000 years from now, what will we leave behind for archeologists? My guess is near ZERO.

Totally I will not guess but I think in 100 years this will be seen as the sexual dark ages , a pervasive and dangerous delusion similar to the witch trials . And I think the internet will drastically change society because of its almost universal pervasiveness and egalitarianness . Thinking dialogue is the principal civizing human quality that is all the internet can do .
