What does being 30 or whatever feel like?

Feels like death with a kiss.

Don't listen to these other fuckers; I'm 30, I know what i'm talking about.

I thought 30 was a massive milestone and to be honest it left me feeling a tad flat. But my 30's were absolutely the best decade of my life so far, and my 40's (although still early, i'm 41) have been amazing too. I wouldn't go back to my teens or 20's for all the money in the world.

This is so funny.

You get old enough you start to realize age is just a number..... What's truly important is the wisdom you pick up between the year markers.

Pretty much how I see it.

Yeah, that's why Stephen Hawking quit ages ago.

Lex

Worth repeating, for its encouragement to endure, no matter how difficult ones circumstances..

Our bodies, no matter how impaired they may become, do not define the being that is occupying that shell.

What we observe of Stephen Hawking's exterior does not represent what his amazing mind is up to.

IDK. In Islam everyone is 33 in heaven.
Yeah .... but it's pretty obvious that the whole Muslamic™ thing is merely a load of worthless human-invented shite. Whoever cobbled together the 'doctrines' could just as easily have picked (almost) any other arbitrary age.

I really do have to give that poor guy credit for continuing on, and doing everything he can to make the best of it.

That's why you just don't fall apart. Problem solved.
Except that nature(or whatever you call it) may have other plans for you...

It's a terrible thing to ponder, but I've always wondered if Hawking would opt for suicide if he still had enough ability to do it himself.
I hate to say it, but if i was in his situation, i would want to 'off' myself

I can't imagine what a rich experience life must be for someone with his intellectual gifts.

Perhaps his disease is enough to negate them.

I wouldn't know about either his suffering or his pleasure, though.

Three kids, a couple wives to boot. He's definitely got some things to live for.

It hasn't yet. And after all this time if it did, or if its plans actually mattered, I'd have noticed SOMETHING..... of those plans.
