What does 'cornhole' mean to you?

In the 70s In my Treehouse it was my neighbor using my back door, a catching game beneath my bags. Today it’s a lawn pitching game with sandbags thrown to the hole.

When I hear people talking about playing "cornhole" my mind always goes to the dirty connotation - I do not understand how that game took on the name of something that going back years meant anal sex.

I thought it meant arsehole. I think I first heard the word used in that context in Edmund White's novel A Boy's Own Story.

If you mention 'hole', you can't win.
I laugh every time my straight friends wanna play cornhole. I wonder why I'm laughing and I tell them, "it's a gay activity that has nothing to do with beanbags. But does need, wood!!"

As I said on here years ago, it means ass-cocking. I don't care if it's a popular game, it's still ass-cocking.

In today’s world with the preponderance of profanity everywhere. (Even Covid shots where there’s an actual govt. commercial where they’ve “got their shit together.” Not really censored, at all. If only George Carlin lived to see it.) I think this game deliberately got named cornhole for its dirty connotation.

I love the church social picnic references, were they Catholic Churches? That’s too funny.

BTW...the slang word "cornhole" apparently comes from the old practice of using corn cobs (after taking off the corn kernels I assume) for wiping one's ass.
