I feel you're giving me platitudes. I'm not convinced by your 'blind faith'.
How do I gain by it?
Well let me re-phrase.
I get the feeling that you wouldn't gain by it. It would probably be wasted on you entirely.
But for the rest of us, the chance to have a wide circle of friends of different ethnicities, religions and cultural backgrounds allows us to understand the world around us much better. We understand that humankind is a global culture and that each different group has something interesting and rich to contribute to the life of the city and our country.
We are able to enjoy the arts of peoples from around the world more immediately and more intimately. These influences then influence our own arts and culture and leads to something entirely new and exciting many times.
Our menus are much richer. Our restaurants more authentic and varied.
The array of foods available in our stores is also infinitely more varied than in an homogeneous whitebread whitebred city.
But as I noted, from what you've posted so far on JUB, I suspect that not only would the potential benefits never be appreciated by you, but that you are absolutely fearful and xenophobic. Because if you have to ask, it can only mean that you don't have a clue.
