What does it mean to "look" Eastern European?

I've been doing modeling projects with friends and making some nice photos, and the comment I keep getting (on the photos sometimes) but also about my looks in general is that I have a very eastern European look. But I stopped recently and thought, what exactly does this mean? There are a ton of countries in Eastern Europe and the term itself doesn't have a generally agreed upon definition of what counts as Eastern Europe. I mean, I'm not surprised that people say this to me: half of my ancestry is Italian and the other half is a mix of Eastern European nationalities, mostly Slavic I think, but my family is very broken so I can hardly find out for real.

I have very pale skin features, that's the only thing I can think of as being distinctly eastern European. I have one friend from the former Yugoslavia who is sort of similar: just naturally very young and youthful looking, which is of course how Eastern European porn is always marketed, but does anyone have any ideas on what features this idea includes? And what is considered to be eastern European? Examples? I'm just really curious because its confusing me a bit.

I think maybe its just something you might develop your awareness of in time or enviroment.

i can distinguish eastern europeans easily,all of them except the Russians are extremely beautiful.the checzhs,the hungarians,the romanians,the stonians,the latvians,croatians,they are all super hot.my favorites are the romanians and the hungarians.

Thanks, BeachGuy, for your wonderful contribution to this thread. Obviously, as someone of Eastern European ancestry, I've never, ever looked at a map of Eastern Europe before. Clearly looking at a map of Eastern Europe resolves the question of how an entire half of a continent, with multiple nationalities, is grouped into a single idea of a uniform aesthetic.

I can usually place someone as Eastern European.

If the physical traits fail me, there's always the tragic, dark resignation to their fate that gives them away.

Many Eastern Europeans do have a distinctive look. Just like Italians have that strong, Roman Nose look. Far Eastern Europeans look like white asians.

Take Putin, for example, if you were to give him black hair and eyes, he would look Chinese.

Europe is an inherently racist term, as it defies the geographic definition of a continent, and primarily is used to describe racial boundaries.

Putin's eyes are almond shaped, but his nose bears no resemblance to Mongolian races, and his facial bone structure is not flattened.

The Russians have features of both races, but definitely more Caucasian..

I didn't say Putin was Asian. I am just making an observation about similarities to Asians. Both produce attractive men. Nothing wrong with that.

I thought it was just me.

William Higgins, one of the greatest American porn producers ever IMO, has taken to photographing Easter European guys. And they all have what seemed to me to be a distinctive, and appealing, look. Since I have seen his work recent; I found that I could easily recognize someone of that ancestry. But I wondered if it was just me.

Now I know it's not.

BTW: I would love to have those genes.
