My flat is full of wall-to-wall bookshelves in most rooms.
They are crammed with non-fiction books on many subjects.
They probably say, 'This guy has too many books'.

Bookcase with sexuality books: I'm a nerd.

Bookcases with leather bound books: I'm a geek.

It says a family lives here. Everyone has books because we are readers. When our son was about 4, he had a friend over and he showed her a bookshelf with his books on them. "These are my books", he said. She said "Oh!" a pause, then "Can you read?". He told her he could so they sat down on the floor with one of his books and because we had read them to him so many times, he repeated the story while pointing to the pictures. She was impressed.

it says that I like sci-fi, history, archaeology, and numismatics

Hopefully that encouraged her to read as well

8 valuable signed first editions the rest is on our kindles !

A man of eclectic tastes.

This would be me as well.

Although our current book acquisitions now lean toward classic mystery writers.

I have a large academic library including many rarer volumes in our offices, our upstairs library is full of all the good literature and favourite books gathered on many subjects over the years and the library in the lower level is full of the mystery fiction etc. We clear out a few bankers' boxes each year by donating to book sales so that we have more room.

The saddest part is that I think we now have gathered too many books....and I don't an heir apparent for any of them.

My shelves say I'm living in a fast paced digital world where even most web pages/articles are already out of date.

I have a few history books written by or about my ancestors, and the rest of the space has become storage for hats and shoes.
