  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What does your bookshelf say about you?

My bookshelf is kind of a collection of randomness.
Books sitting out of view on the closet shelf with titles like "Best Gay Romance" might say a bit more about me.

Alexander Pushkin. Eugene Onegin:

He filled a shelf with a small army of books and read and read; but none of it made sense. .. They were all subject to various cramping limitations: those of the past were outdated, and those of the present were obsessed with the past.

^ You mean because DVDs are just as vintage as books in 2019

That I'm a huge scifi and fantasy geek. Also, I'm very orderly. I have my books grouped by authors then series. Also that I prefer the older stuff to the newer.
Now, the "bookshelf" on my tablet is very disorganized and has more variety of books, mostly more cooking, some gay interest and historical stuff and a bunch of science magazines.

Now my bookshelf is envious of that Jane Austen action figure

Nice cat too.

But the sagging shelves make me want to add a stiffening strip on the underside of the shelf.

Is it sagging, or is it an optical illusion from the front of the shelf being curved?

And I agree, the cat is the best thing about the contents.

ORLY? So why the upper one is not sagging?

And how can you say that about the contents when you have the complete completed Austen novels there, half-hidden behind the crap, you redneck redneck
