I was experimenting with recording a short audioclip myself on my other computer tonight...

It was  horrid  surprised I didn't fry it all...microphone, computer & stereo  needless to say that audio-file didn't leave my computer...

Sausy.....your voice reminds me of "ComicBook Guy" on the Simpsons. (I even just did a quick YouTube check, ...and yep....your voice is similar....;))
I looked at some clips too,not exactly hearing it but have to admit there's SOMETHING about my voice!

Sausy, whenever I read your posts, that's pretty much the voice I hear them in. Although perhaps with a bit of "oh bother" Winnie-the-Pooh thrown in. :)

Lex
You imagined me sounding like that BEFORE I ever even posted it?Damn Lex,you're GOOD!;)I think I've got some Winnie rumbly in the tumbly though!!oops!

Oh, join me. I long since gave up apologizing for my regional dialect. In Alaska and New Mexico, they greet international visitors with less surprise than when encountering my speech.

The South gave me much of who I am; I would be foolish to reject my being.

And Sausy, what's not to love? Isn't the classic Jersey accent actually a Dutch influence?
Thanks Jason, and yes, there's a huge Dutch influence in where I'm from, many old Dutch names for streets and places survive to this day.Of course, you won't hear this accent ANYWHERE in the Netherlands these days:lol:!

Thanks Mouf of Khaos,too....glad to hear it seemed to be a very pleasant surprise hearing this grating Jersey voice for the first time!;)
And swerve as well, and congrats btw on 10,000 posts!:D

Really have enjoyed all the voices that have been recorded and linked here.Very impressed in particular by some of our southern US influenced voices like Jason, swerve and Johann...I could listen to you guys read the phone book, you're all that compelling and interesting!..|

Loved Oz and jag's respective Aussie and Kiwi accents...could comment on so many but believe it or not,I do tend towards wordiness!;)Keep it going,everyone.....thanks refuji for strating this new edition of an always fascinating and fun way to share some more of who we really are outside the avatars and usernames!..|

@Unloadonme: I hear that The Waltons is all the rage in the UK. Is that true?

I wouldn't say all the rage exactly. It was shown on the BBC in the 70s and 80s I think, but I haven't noticed it recently. I doubt many people under 20 would know what we were talking about.

No,no,no...still so many people we haven't heard from, and others whose commentary has been nothing short of delightful!Let's keep this as recurring as the posting picture thread...it's fun to engage vocally!:D

This is the first forum I've been on where someone started a thread like this with audio...
...I can say it was cool reading & listening to what was posted here. :)

good. god. my recorded voice sounds so different from my actual voice. I think. ask the JUBbers I've met...
