I'm thinking cheese slicer.

The blades are rigid and slightly serrated but not sharp enough to cut your fingers when you run them over the blades.

looks one one of those thingies that slices hard cooked eggs too ya know.

My partner thinks it would make an excellent paddle for his backside.

It's a tomato slicer. It cuts even slices. If you try to use it on cheese, the serrations will get stuck and you'll have a big mess.

it dices, it slices, it makes love to your wife.....

i think thats from Carlin...

That makes sense. Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time I bought a tomato. I had to pick them for my grandfather when I was a kid and we could eat as much as we wanted. I kind of went off them after a few years.

Yeah, I was gonna go with tomato slicer, with a second guess of a manual toaster.

It is an Ekco tomato slicer. You can also use them for cucumbers, cheese, eggs carrots and butter. About 59 cents brand new. From the 1950's.

That's exactly the one I have...I collect those old kitchen thingamabobs. Used to sell 'em when I was doing Ebay, now I just collect them.

It's tool used by a Rabbi to perform multiple simultaneous brisses on twins, triplets, etc.

RL,

You win the Shepherd's Award for the most creative answer. The visual would be brutal.

On the other hand, Cyravance is most likely correct it is a vegetable slicer, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, cheese, and even eggs.

I don't know what to call it, but you can slice anything soft enough with it, in case you're too lazy to cut them into thin even slices.
