Though he spent his formative years and much of his professional career in California (he started the Mothers of Invention in New York City), today is 'Frank Zappa Day' in Baltimore, Maryland, the city of his birth.
So, in memory of his genius, here are three, 'Live' vids, dating from the 'Baby Snakes' tour in 1977 (and one more, as a coda, from later in his performing career). Two (if not all three) are from a 'Hallowe'en' concert, October 28, 1977, featuring Roy Estrada, Adrian Belew, Patrick O'Hearn, Ed Mann, Tommy Mars, Peter Wolf and Terry Bozzio.
