it used to be so good when i was young. they had all those contests where people were basically nude. they had pauly shore and they had fashion shows. this time it was like 4-5 crappy spring break versions of lame shows like wild'n out. does anyone else remember the era of awesome mtv spring break? it was one of the things that kept me looking forward to college.
 
I always used to look forward to it when I was younger. But MTV has changed so much since then that I"m sure next year they probably won't even do anything...especially since they are getting rid of TRL...they won't have VJ's really anymore.

but question for anyone who's watched any of this spring break...i caught Damien's Caught On Camera Spring Break special.....in the clip where he is on the roller coaster or something...didn't it look like Lucas from Corbin Fisher sitting next to him?
 
Yes, I do remember almost everything about MTV was better 15-20 years ago.

Do they still have a summer dance show, where MTV will rent a beach house and play music as half naked guys and gals dance around? There was plenty of masterbatory material there for me. I still remember this one extremely hot muscle boy dancing to Stereo MC's "Connected." *|* *|* *|*

It was obvious that all the camera people were straight men, because they would only show hot guys for a couple of seconds and then switch to some girl. ](*,) ](*,) LOL I remember they also always panned up from the bottom so they were sure to get a crotch shot.:eek:
 
my favorite was when they would follow around the group of slutty girls and then a group of slutty guys. one group of girls did a triple kiss and all that other college girl spring break shit. one of the guys entered a wet underwear contest. . .and yeah, that was one for the memory bank *|* ..|

I didn't know TRL was ending. But then again, I stopped caring after Carson Daly left.
 
Yes spring break used to be so hot. They had wet boxer contests and contests were men had to change into women swimsuits and they always popped out lol.

TRL used to be so much fun back in the days when bubble gum pop was huge, with Britney and Nsync.

I can't tell when last i watched it, but i heard its not even live anymore its taped on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
 
Where did you hear TRL was ending whoever? The information I read said that they pretape their Tuesday and Thursday episodes the day before I guess to cut back on production costs or something. How does that translate to TRL ending?

I agree with Lex. We're all over MTV and it's lameness now but I do agree MTV and spring break as a whole changed. I remember one year it lasted like a month or something and it's been lasting shorter and shorter since.
 
It was announced a few months back that it was to be canceled at some point this year...the new president or whoever they just got that was new is gonna try and rework it...but most likely it will be off the air by the end of the year

Either it will or it won't. Which one is it? And again, where did this come from? I can show you exactly where I read it was pretaped now but where did your info come from?

I hate to sound like a bitch, it's just TRL is one of only three shows I watch on MTV and I'd like to know for sure if it's being cancelled.
 
I also heard that TRL was getting canned on the radio when doing entertainment news. Apparently the shows ratings have been getting worse and worse since the pop explosion died down. A couple of other programs are said to be getting the axe as well. So far the real world and the challenges have been the highest rating things on the channel.
 
My friend & I was just talking about how MTV Spring Break used to be the so awesome when we were kids, lol...

They had a ton of challenges, dating shows, hot perfomances & it was an all week thing like all day...not just 2 hours starting at 11 PM...

I remember when they used to have the fashion shows outside & the dance parties...with music guests like Destiny's Child, Nsync, Eminem, Blink 182, Jessica Simpson, Sisqo, 98Degrees etc...now either I'm too old to enjoy someone else;s Spring Break or its just gone downhill...

It's gone downhill like the channel itself. Just watch the best of spring break and you will see how lame its gotten over the years.
 
They really are canceling TRL? I remember when that was their hightest rated show back when I was in middle school. I just always hated that they never played the whole video and their very choosey with the videos they premier.

Oh I know me too! Back in middle school MTV's Spring Break was porn for me! Some of my best memories:

Guys swapping clothes with girls in a VW bug (saw some yummy asses!)
Guys covered in whipped cream and the girls had to suck it all off
Remember when they showed one hour specials documenting hot college kids and what they did all week on their spring break in places like Jamaica & Cancun?? Hot half naked college dudes drinking & making out with everyone-hot!

I just miss all the shows they had on the stage by the beach with rappers & singers peforming at the end. It didn't matter what the show was but there were always hot dudes by the pool in the audience......

Good old times I miss old MTV!
 
I have to say now that it probably will be cancelled. Knowing two days a week are pretaped makes me not want to watch those two days. The show has lost a lot of....'feeling' and feels like cardboard now and I love how today they played the first five minutes from yesterdays episode because they put in the wrong pretaped episode.

If you didn't know it was pretaped before today you do now, lol.
 
i couldn't fucking believe that spring break was nothing more than 5 hours of spring break reality series that didn't even compare itself to the days when jerry springer and performances made us be glued to the mtv spring break special. hell i even remember a few years ago when they showed performances, fashion shows, and a couple of dating/cheating shows. i was looking forward to a lot of performances, but they dropped the b-bomb on the traditional mtv spring break that i used to love. all i might say is it might be another crappy spring break by next year. i sure won't be watching because i might just be in miami to enjoy my spring break.
