What happened to the old forum?

At some point I started spending more time on JUB than there, just liked here better
Eventually I think I got banned from that place because there was a couple year period when I couldn't access it when trying to log in.

Can't think why you'd be banned, there was no chance of getting into trouble over there with the original crowd, all a bit too soft really.

If you're seeing something other than the black, navy and gold theme, you may have accidentally changed your forum Style setting. If you change the Style, the forum remembers that you set that Style and it will continue to use that Style until you change another Style.

The Style setting is in the lower left hand corner of the forum page (you may have to scroll to the bottom to see it). It's a drop-down and it should say "--Default" if you want to use the "JUB classic" Style.

I only see Default and Default Mobile.

Those are the current options. For some reason Google's bots will occasionally end up in "Default Mobile" Style, so people coming to the site from a Google link get their Style setting changed to "Default Mobile". Once it is set, it is saved for all future sessions until you change it back to "--Default" (which is the orange-blue-black Style that everyone is used to).

Actually, if you remember rightly, the owner of the site did all the modding, and he screened newbies, limiting posts, and he blocked your access if you didn't so some things in your first trial period. He was forever accidentally banning people by blocking ISPs or regions. It was a cluster as I recall.

He was forever accidentally banning people by blocking ISPs or regions. It was a cluster as I recall.

I woulda been well beyond that trial period when it happened..
Maybe I ended up being one of those accidental ones

I got into a couple fights there that made me leave....

One was with a child molester who pissed me off real bad because he blamed his son's wife for stirring the pot when his son never had a problem before with it til she came along...according to him..what a clueless asshole

The time before that...the guy you helped Jason....UGH....apparently there was a girl pretending to be a guy having an online romance with him and daily it was the next chapter into barfland.....

The drama unfolded and it was too much for me to take...the ignore button didn't work properly

Then it became Anti Hillary Central...and that did it for me for good. Gay Republicans took over...

I liked Andy..the guy who ran it...he was a decent guy I think. I liked PrinceAlbert alot...he lived in France. I miss him....and his boyfriend Marshlander who lived in England.

I didn't get kicked off though..I deleted myself every time.
