  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What has JUB taught you?

I learned that I should keep my front door locked, so my friend doesn't walk in while I'm looking at the small cocks thread on JUB.

Gays are meaner than I have ever expected

Our lust over straight male celebrities is unhealthy

JUB has taught me that people say one thing and mean another.

AND as soon as they say "i really luv talknig to you and stuff --( and you've held their hand thru thick and thin )-- it means that you're prolly never gonna hear from them again.

and after you've been here a while - you make this really really short list of guys you'd give the keys to the back door to !! I'm just sayin........

As a Moderator I've learned that the members who complain the most about "trolls" are usually the first ones to set up the all-you-can-eat buffet tables!* :p

It's one of the great ironies around here. ;)

*Note: No one who's posted in this thread is being singled out in this statement.

I've also learned that despite this being the Internet that JUB is comprised of some really awesome people and that a lot of times, without their realizing it, are the ones that make JUB the real community that it has become, and one of the many reasons to keep coming back here everyday. :luv:

Yup!

People use one another here and when there is nothing more for them to get, they move on to the next person.
Use, discard. Use, discard. There are the takers and the givers. The takers reboot and it is as if the giver never existed.

I learned that there are more Alabama JUB members than I thought, though they may not be all gay. There's even one in Attalla, which is not even 15 minutes from my front door (hey to whomever that is! Sorry I don't know your username).

I also learned that Jasun is an awesome person, even though we are very different when it comes to most things. In fact, most of the people on here are awesome and some even have neat life stories. In my opinion, these are some of the members that I wish we could be friends in real life (reason in parentheses):

-Jasun (see sentence above, and also very funny)
-Moe Moe (very funny, too)
-Karen (very funny, too)
-Jayden (cool and funny, and a good blogger, no matter the day)
-ravenstar (cool and nice, and the first one to really welcome me into the JUB community, and I always will appreciate that, so thank you)
-gsdx (always has some interesting news or facts to share)
-Shep (just an amazing person, and appreciates my threads)
-Sir Ron/ronboy (appreciates my threads, too)
-frankfrank (fellow autistic gay and a real factoid geek, which is always appreciated by me)
-Corny (friendly and a good person)
-swerve (fellow Southerner, like me, and an awesome person)
-Knucklehead (awesome person, and a sexy voice to boot)
-metta (reminds all that there's always something to fight for as gay folks)
-stacyp (a lovely person)

Most of all, I've learned that there are great people in this world, and to cherish the relationships I have.

Thank You so much Wes. That really means alot to me. (*8*)

You shouldn't get hung up over regrets or deciding whether to have sex. Just go out and enjoy it safely.

I've learned that if I do indeed have a place in this world, I'll never find it before I die.

That I'll probably be sad, and lonely for the rest of my life.

That if you aren't young, and good looking, you don't have a chance. That's not just here, that's just in general. I already believed this, but internet forums reinforced it.
Just look on any forum that allows photos, and see the difference in views/comments from an old, worn out, fat, ugly, guy like me, and some young good looking stud. That seems to be the same everywhere for men, women, gay, straight, or indifferent. I must admit, that youth and beauty are much easier to look at. I'm drawn to it too.

That there really are other guys with a penis the size of mine. For years I thought I was the only one who got shorted. Just like with looks, most are drawn to larger, though. That goes for men, women, gay and straight. Big ones do look better to me too, I admit it.

That men, for the most part, really are pigs. Whether gay, straight, or bi. Of course, I'll have to include myself in that too. Being gay doesn't change a guys personality, they still have the male, masculine, ego driven, attitude that women complain about.

Self-acceptance, which implies several changes in many ways.
Awareness of the struggle it can be at times (same-sex marriage, bullying, etc, etc). Not that I didn't know but it's different when read and hear more about it and inform yourself better.

It's taught me there's lots of guys on here I need to bang-shag in real life.

That gays will be gays.

I learned that theres something for everyone. And more straight curious guys than i thought there were.

that a suppoed nice young man i had been communicating with - including talking to him via the phone daily - was after two years, a complete hoax.

he died suddenly in January of this year and when his wife responded to two messages i had left on his cell phone, we discovered every thing i thougt i knew about him were
nothing more than a pack of lies. everything we had talked about for two years was totally false .
