Italian Wedding Soup
Origin[edit]
The term "wedding soup" is a mistranslation of the Italian language phrase "minestra maritata ("married soup")," which is a reference to the fact that green vegetables and meats go well together. The minestra maritata recipe is also prepared by the families of Lazio and Campania during the Christmas season (a tradition started from the Spanish domination of Italy to the present days). Some form of minestra maritata was long popular in Toledo, Spain, before pasta became an affordable commodity to most Spaniards.[citation needed] The modern wedding soup is quite a bit lighter than the old Spanish form, which contained more meats than just the meatballs of modern Italian-American versions.
I really though it must has to do with wedding..my bad.

Mahmud of Ghazni and Malik Ayaz.

Mahmud of Ghazni founded the Ghaznavid Empire and ruled as a sultan. He fell in love with Malik Ayaz, a Turkish slave, and their relationship became the epitome of idealized love in Islamic legend and Sufi literature. As the story goes, Ayaz asked Mahmud who the most powerful man in the kingdom was. When the sultan replied that it was himself, Ayaz corrected him, claiming that in fact Ayaz was the most powerful, since Mahmud was his slave. The “slave to a slave” became a favorite trope in Persian literature. R.G.L.

I fell in love today with a kid at Ikea. He was about 23, quirky with a crooked grin, a head of curly brown hair and the biggest dark blue eves I've ever seen. He caught me looking at him and he smiled. I turned away to hide my embarassment and when I looked back, I beheld the cutest little arse as it walked away, back into the crowded houseware department, never to be seen again. "COME BACK YOU BEAUTIFUL YOU.. YOU! JUST ONE MORE LOOK!" I cried from the stirrings in my groin, but no answer. He was gone and I was heart broke until my wife poked me and said, "did you see that kid? He was cute and just your type." Damn!

I remember SEEING these TV stations when I was living in southeast Michigan as a boy, approaching adulthood.

Purely instructional TV stations, which operated on Channels 72 and 76, way up high on the UHF dial. Programming was intended entirely for school/classroom use. They signed off for good in the late 1960s.

They broadcast from *AIRPLANES* which were flying over Montpelier, Indiana - a town in the northeast quadrant of the state.

I certainly can't claim that I learnt this "today"...but you did.

Too much political correctness: https://pjmedia.com/trending/2015/1...ecause-she-has-to-read-books-by-white-people\
It's sad but I don't think that is funny. It's true though. In 2010, I observed my black classmates disappeared from history class as soon their part came out.
I understand the heartache but please don't bring it to limelight, there is no way to PC process history book.
