Super-Jew:
Jack Schwarz, a Dutch Jewish writer, also lived in horrific conditions while forced into a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Like so many others, he was beaten, starved, and tortured beyond what most of us can comprehend. To cope with his situation, he began the practice of meditation and prayer, which he developed to the point where he could block out the pain of his torment and subsequently withstand his situation. After his release, Schwarz continued his mind over matter practice and occasionally demonstrated his skills by putting a long sail-maker’s needle through his arm without injury. He also displayed his ability to regulate his body’s blood flow by causing the puncture hole in his arm to bleed or stop bleeding at will. Schwarz was studied by researchers at the Menninger Foundation who found that he could indeed control many of his bodily processes with only his mind. Furthermore, through an electroencephalograph, they determined his brain had different electrical activity as compared to most other test subjects. According to Schwarz, he could also see people’s auras, which allowed him to gauge their physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental conditions.

I love the idea of Buddhist monks having a meditation contest. That's a reality TV show waiting to happen. I don't know about scars and such appearing purely through mental energy but there are well-documented cases of old wounds spontaneously reopening when people remember the original experience very intensely, like under hypnosis or when they're under a lot of stress.

For people who thought that a mere Kim Kardashian show was the lowest one could ever go...

I just had the TV on five minutes and hell under the stitches in my scars broke loose.
The salty worse part of it is that they were shows supposed to be "informative", "cultural" or "just good family fun".

Oh damn, I hadn't noticed the time length, and I thought they had posted the whole suite, not only the ouverture from the ouverture

I learnt that Cgymike afraid of rejection

Afraid? Meh....no....even when I was younger it was never a biggie. You just move on. And now being older it doesn't even register.
But where's the learning for you? It isn't about me.

I really hope this (mind over matter) dont go to reality show path way. I personally sort of believe it, seriously, not too skeptical like before.

This is NOT a bloodied anus; it is a painting from Rajasthan

Here's a new one for awhile, but I might go back. I like it. ^

I learned that Catholics keep preserved body parts of their saints at churches and monasteries across the globe. Apparently somewhere in NY, there is a saint nun whose head was removed and is kept at the Vatican but her body with a plastic head is kept in a catholic high school church. To me this is bizarre and sounds more like ancient pagan or ancient Egyptian customs.

Just like idol worship, only that they call it adoration and pretend it all has nothing to do with the actual, material, idol... despite also claiming that the material idol is sacred in its own materiality: they try to make it seem as if linking it to the Christian god changes anything the fact that they are using the worship of a material idol to link themselves to their higher divinity, just like ritual sacrifices and machine-praying as Buddhists do in the Himalayas region to achieve, materially, their spiritual fancy goals.
