As much as I find armpit hair on men sexy on women it makes me cringe. Am I sexist? I hope hairy women do not become the norm in present day society.

So passé... P did it twenty years ago and it was passé already back then...

I learnt from Selena Gomez that..when you feel you're almost die, fall sick because someone you love left you..that wasn't because of you being over-reacting, but all the bodily reactions were caused by 'cortisol'- that stress hormone, which triggered irritability/tortured like symptoms.
I had that feeling long time ago, I feel you Selena :( I almost die..so helpless...

I used to be able to carry 8 bricks at one time. Today I'll be finding out if I still can.

The limit of characters in poll questions is shorter than I ever cared to notice

I learned what it's like to be a pallbearer. (Pretty much as I expected, and the heft and heaviness wasn't difficult at all.)

ALL funerals I've ever been at, in the past, had cremation of the deceased, so no casket ever went to the cemetery.

I latch your casket and you'll latch mine.

Orlando Bloom has had transplants on his balding forehead, that he grows long and combs back like a madman's topiary.

Yesterday (December 1st) was Antarctic Day.

As it happens by coincidence I was reading an online blog the last few days about a 2012 British expedition timed for the 100th anniversary of Scott's fateful journey to the South Pole.

So in honour of the event....

Rothera Research Station, Antarctica

Rothera is the 'capital' of the British Antarctic Territory, and is located on the Antarctic Peninsula.

It has its own little runway and small harbour, and a team of scientists totalling about 25 of them stay all-year round, although the 'population' reaches about 100 in the summer season (December-April) when temperatures hover just above freezing.

It's a five-hour flight, or a five-day sea voyage, to get there, usually from either Punta Arenas which is on the southern tip of Chile, or from Stanley in the Falkland Islands.

Various breeds of small penguins and several types of seals are often seen nearby to the station.

The station crew yesterday posed for a photograph for Antarctic Day:

The '55' is for the anniversary of the signing of the Antarctic Treaty on December 1st, 1959.

It specifies that nations should not develop the continent for military purposes but instead devote themselves to scientific research and the conservation and protection of the natural environment.

My 77yo neighbour said she had a minor stroke a few days ago. She can't drive her car until the doctor checks her over again and gives her the all clear. Living alone in old age is 'lonely' she said, especially when there's no one who can help her.

And there are no volunteer escorting programs in her town... (I wonder what sort of less funny name they would give to that in America...  )

Young boys were described as ‘unbreeched’ in the nineteenth century.

They wore dresses or gowns mainly because of a lack of toilet training.
