more weapons used by Mexican drug cartels come from China than from the U.S.!

I would not have guessed that at all. But the cartels would rather have actual military weapons, and China has happily sold such to arms dealers who pass them to all sorts of armed movements in South and Central America, as well as to the region's governments. From there it's an easy step to the cartels.

No wonder it's taking the Mexican military to deal with these guys.
