Countering your point with some stats from my own field - malaria kills 1 million people in the 3rd world every year while doctors making quick 5-minute diagnoses manage to save the other 300 million who present with the disease.
And surely if those stats are your concern you should see a homeopath or a faith-healer, or maybe get yourself a course of leeches.

hehe. Why so defensive?
I'm just saying, doctors are not perfect., and the stats show that. I have used medication before and I am not against it. It saved my life from pneumonia. And not to complain again..but i diagnosed the pneumonia in the emergency room when the doctor was just about to send me home..i asked him to check my lungs..and he apologized.
I'm also suggesting, doctors should be like any other service that we use. If I send my car to a mechanic, I want to know ahead of time how much it will cost, what he will do, the amount of time it will take, and if that is the best options, etc
I'm claiming this doctor didn't do his job and didn't re-assure me that what I was talking was right. You are trying to suggest I should just trust him based on the fact that he is a doctor. That's dumb.
I totally understand that drugs are not bad in themselves, and I will gladly take them, and take a bit of a risk, to have a better life.
