I think there are a lot of closet cases in football- at least at the high school and maybe college levels. My sister went out with two football players; one is gay and the other is bi. I had two friends who played football and both are bi. All four guys were in the closet when they played.
 
I don't think it's the football doing it. I think it's just adolescent silly behavior. At least they think it's silly. Do you think they know their photos are on the world's largest gay porn portal? Not so silly, is it.
