What is sex?

^ People only say that when...

So if I eat something and throw it up after, I haven't eaten it?

If you eat (a process) something and throw it up afterwards you have an eating disorder and need to get that checked or you began the process of eating bad sushi.

Normally people go through the process of eating to say that they ate. The process includes chewing - swallowing - digesting - absorption into the body (completion)

Same with sex, its a process (that has a start and finish) and what has become clear from Ken and Patrick is that many women have yet to have sex, they have only just began but not quite there yet.

You can upchuck food but you cant upchuck any process of coitus. Granted you may want to throw up once the liquor wears off and you see how you ready had sex with but thats a different story.

sex is when two genitals touch

Just touch?

They can touch without penetration.

When the gentials just touch thats frottage not sex.

I can't think of any reason why I would want to have a definition of sex unless it was to preclude certain activities from that category. This might occur on many occasions. For example If I am interacting with someone else's partner and I don't wish to be overtly sexual so as not to offend each or both of them But I imagine this might be different for different sets of couples I might interact with. In short, I think there is a degree of situational judgement to be made.

If this judgement is made on the basis of rules or definitions rather than on the basis of respect for the affected others then there is more chance that the judgement may be wanting.

In short I would be interested in what generated the question and why it is important that sex did or did not happen before any answer to the question makes sense. Without the context it is an exercise akin to counting how many angels can dance on the point of a pin.
:-)

I was thinking of a good reply but this topic is dragged and has taken a whole different twist.

LOL yes lets just agree to disagree. I have reasoned it one way and you another but just to clarify if you threw up the food you did not eat it so you never ate :)

But what about lesbians

LOL i have no idea what goes on there although when Samantha was a lesbian for those few episodes she let her lover use a strap on to penetrate her or was it Samantha that used the strap on, i dont remember but as long as whatever they do brings climax they can say that they had sex with each other.
