Is it having a good job, money in the bank, the perfect boyfriend.

What does success mean to you.

For me it's just being happy as i am now, not that i wouldn't be even happier with a better job and more money coming in.

Over to you.

I have never sought to be rich, but I did seek to earn a decent living and in doing so went into work that I enjoyed, as a machinist I never quit learning, there was always something to figure out and I loved the challenge of it.

So, I think that earning a comfortable living while doing work that you enjoy is success.

These days, if you're getting by, I think that's a success. I have everything that I need. I'm also lucky enough to have a few friends that mean the world to me, and me to them.

Good thing you are a bottom then.

Depends on what you mean by "success". A good personal success would be persevering despite obstacles and doing it all on one's own, whether that be for a job position, obtaining something that you couldn't afford before or overcoming a serious illness.

Hopefully, at the end of my life, I can claim that noun...

The path to success is fraught with failure -- for me, it would be to say that I lived a GOOD LIFE -- and was a POSITIVE influence on this world. Not in a grandiose way, but in SOME way.

It isn't EASY to pick yourself up when YOU are the reason you are down -- but it is IMPORTANT to CONSTANTLY STRIVE to be a BETTER person!!!

I SUSPECT that EVERYONE here on JUB is successful in MANY WAYS!!! ..|

To me the day is successful wen I can share positive news, ideas, emotions with other people (strangers, relatives) or cheer/inspire/motivate someone to achieve some good goal. Of course, achievement of some personal goals does contribute to the overall success, but, to my view, it should inspire for achievement of some higher aims.

I agree. Being happy is having a roof over my head, food on the table and the unconditional support of close friends. All of which I have, thankfully.
Of course winning the Lottery would be great but, if I am honest, it wouldn't add anything to my life that I feel is missing now

A boyfriend would definately NOT add anything to my life. Quite the opposite, I think
