1) Depends on what kind of compliments you're fishing out.

"Cute" and "hot" are words (duh) with a lot of meanings -- my source: the dictionary (duh).

2) Depends on the person who gave you the compliment.

If it's one of those dumb high school teenage girls or a Jubber -- either way it's still the same thing (duh) -- being called "cute" basically means you are somewhere near to the sexual attractiveness of a Pokemon; being called hot is everything else but a Pokemon.

3) Depends on whether you give a fuck.

It depends. 'Cute' can be so condescending sometimes and 'hot' can be a little too forward.

I think that Hot is a better compliment. It's like saying to a person "WOW! You're on fire! *sizzle sizzle* And I can't keep my eyes off you!"

Cute is more like... "Awww what a good boy you are aren't you... *baby talk*. You're good looking but you don't make people do a double take"

I prefer You're Cute. I think of cute as sorta sweet, twink sorta looks, and so on. And I really want to be a cute twink xD Hot makes me think of burly muscly types with a lot of hair. And I'm not into that.
