  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What is the meaning and origin of your username?

My username changed since I answered earlier, so here's my second try:

Mercury/Hermes is a great personal iconic figure for me - the psychopomp, patron of boundaries, thieves, orators and commerce.

Jones is a family name.

Ephemeral means 'short-lived, evanescent, fleeting'. It was a vocab word in my Brit Lit class.

I thought it sounded calming but kind of sad at the same time. Like, you want something to last forever but you know no matter how hard you try, it's going to eventually end. You'll constantly reminisce and feel nostalgia for the forgotten years.

It's my favorite spell on a video game I played and also happens to be one of my favorite English phrase. I'd also like to trying parachuting to experience the free falling sensation.

mine's pretty self-explanatory --

BI now -- GAY later ---

The later would be if/when i was "unattached" again - which will hopefully be never --
but it doesn't mean I'm not attracted to MEN !!

I always thought your username was pronounced like Binow-gay-later and I never got it. I know, silly rabbit.

Kester is the Gaelic form of Christopher, which was my name until I changed it to Kris.

Jayden is my first name. The boy's name Jayden \ja(y)-den\, also used as girl's name Jayden, is a variant of Jadon (Hebrew), and the meaning of Jayden is "Jehovah has heard".

I'm the gift of art!. Its just some random words I put together actually no real reason to it.

I used to troll another message board under the name "Li'l Bitty Troll." I was a relatively cute an inoffensive troll, hence the "li'l bitty" part. The name is also appropriate because I'm kinda short. (5' 5 3/4" on a good day.)

It's part of what I do for a living.

And when I joined JUB, I was far too scared to use my regular handle for fear someone would trace me here.

So I used something generic. Now I no longer care, but I may as well stay Audio Tech here.

Was looking for a new username and decided to type in more or less random words into an English-Irish Gaelic dictionary (as a fan of all things Irish...). The words strong and king translated as trean rí.

I decided that was a little difficult to pronounce, so I swapped the last two letters (making it total nonsense) to make treanír. Most boards and sites don't like the accent on the i, so it's treanir.

StrongGnik, then, essentially.
