  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What is the most you would pay for an 'On Demand' movie?

Nothing. I only watch the free stuff on TV. I don't pay for Sky, Netflix or anything like that.

In the highly unlikely event that I was desperate to see a particular film, I'd either go to the cinema or buy the DVD from Amazon.

$30?!??!? For that herky jerky faux hi-def streaming quality?

No more than $5.

Same with me. I'll wait till I can rent the video for $4 at the drug mart.

Nothing.

I won't pay for any form of digital media - films, music, ebooks, etc.

If it is in non-physical form it is worthless to me.

I save my money for real books.

I don't even have a TV licence (or TV). I'm not paying money for the shite that the BBC etc broadcast these days.

There are loads of free videos online if I feel like watching anything.

$0. I wait for the library to have it on DVD. Admittedly, it can be a long wait--it takes them time (longer than availability on DVD, and the hold list can be long). But it's my favorite price: $0.

I've recently bought a few DVDs--but they are A) older material, and B) were a quarter each in a thrift shop.

For On-Demand?

Nothing now.

If we want to see something on first release...we want to see it on a BIG SCREEN. With Popcorn or nachos and cheese.

Otherwise, I can wait.

I paid 3.99 to watch George C. Scott in "A Christmas Carol" last week, I'm a rebel.

Zippo If I am already paying for Netflix and Hulu they can jolly well have them for free on those services! Otherwise I go to the library and rent but I have recently found a good site for um...well lets just say I found a good site...

At this time I haven't paid anything. It is possible that I might some time in the future, but not too likely.

Well I just paid $4.99 for Lifetime's Christmas movie The Christmas Setup.
