Have any of you noticed?

Over the past couple years, it seems like almost every jock and athletically-inclined straight guy in his 20s or early 30s is wearing clothes and gear made by a brand called "Underarmour." It's logo is of a football --

I haven't seen any openly gay guys wearing Underarmour brand clothes yet, but maybe that's just me. Do any of you wear "Underarmour" brand clothing?

Do you guys have any clue why this brand is suddenly so popular?

My hubby runs a lot of marathons, Tough Mudders, etc. I've run some short events and take photos at the big ones. It definately shows off the muscles and bodies. As a gay man, I have no problem admiring them straight or gay! The hubby likes them because they are comfortable....

I saw Chris Wallace do an interview with the creator behind Underarmor on Fox News. God, this guy was hot. Wish I could remember his name.

Because they absorb sweat and the shirts also cool the body.

See? There's a functionality to it.

I wear it when I go to the gym. I have a muscle shit and boxer briefs made by under armour. I also sometimes toss on the underarmour muscle shirt under a nice shirt cuz it helps to hold an d"shape" my belly a bit hahahahaha.

Under Armour was created by Kevin Plank a graduate of University of Maryland (Go Terps!). I am a current senior there. As someone who reaped the benefits of getting free under armour I am now addicted to it. Was on the cheer squad for 2 years and got a bunch of stuff free.

PLank played on the football team and later started coming up with better ideas for sports wear and what the fabric needed to do better. He came up with ideas for cool gear and hot gear. Made to keep you either warm in the winter of cooler in the summer.

the Under Armour symbol is actually a stretched out U and an A crossed over each other.

Its very very comfortable clothing, and lasts a very long time. If you notice more and more colleges and pro teams are starting to use UA clothing and uniforms. He started the company in 1995 and its already a multi-billionaire dollar company. Its quickly surpassing nike as the number 1 sports brand.

Hope that gives you all the info you need...

It's a way for straight men to wear spandex without wearing "spandex."

Yeah, I wear an Underarmour compression muscle shirt and also one of their tanks. Not for any truly practical reason actually but because I like the way I look when I'm working out and studying my reflection in the mirror.
Actually there is a practical reason: the better I look the more inspired I am to keep at it.
