I don't think I've felt any hate or disdain or anything like that towards anyone based on their sexual orientation. Straight, Gay, Bi...............just people. Some are cool, some are assholes, orientation plays no real part in it.
I can't think of any person or group that I HATE, there are however many people/groups I dislike...so I avoid/ignore them.
It's not worth the energy to hate people, there's no benefit to it.

Hey guys, I know that no one has posted in this thread for a while, but I recently stumbled across a tumblr post that partials to exactly what this thread is trying to convey, that heterosexual/cissexual hate is very problematic in the gay community. It seems that since the Winter Olympics in Sochi began, straight/cishet bashing has gone through the roof on both tumblr and deviantart, and I will admit, the videos of the anti-gay hate and discrimination in Russia are fucking deplorable as hell, but an entire sexuality should not be blamed for the actions of a few.
That being said, these are NOT my words, they are the words of a user called the-unpopular-opinions.

I hate what tumblr has become. I can’t stand it. I have always been a supporter of LGBT rights, rights as in, being able to marry who you want, live as who you want, etc. In short, for people in the LBGT community to be just as accepted as any straight person. And I have no problems with people wanting to spread awareness on issue, to hopefully raise light on the injustices being done in the world. Hell, I’ve learned a thing or two being on tumblr that I never knew was even an issue, and I think that’s great! But, I hate the fact that a few individuals feel that the best way to do this is to put down straight or cishet people to get the word out. More than that, I hate the fact that tumblr almost condones and supports the hate.
I can’t tell you how many posts I have seen saying, ” If you’re straight I won’t listen to your opinion.” or ” If you’re cishet I’m not going to be nice to you, your sexuality is oppressing me.” If you replaced ‘straight’ or ‘cishet’ with any other minority, sexual or otherwise, everyone would be up in arms about it. Everyone would talk about how horrible it is that people believe this, and that it needs to be put to an end. But for whatever reason, once you change the words back to ‘straight’ and ‘cishet’, people don’t seem to care. In fact, people encourage these posts, and posts like these gain thousands upon thousands of notes, with people acting as though not only is the hate warranted, but should be encouraged.
Let me explain something to you. A straight/ cishet person, just like a trans person, just like a gay person, has no control over their sexuality. I was born liking a certain thing, and I can’t change that. I also have no control over how other people who are in the same sexuality grouping as me behave. I can’t control the fact that there are horrible racist, sexist, homophobic bigots out there that are the reason why most of the people in the LBGT community have such a hard time. But you know what? I don’t condone the hate, I don’t support it, and when faced with a bigot, I try to make them see why what their doing is ridiculous and wrong. My sexuality is not oppressing you, assholes within my sexuality are oppressing you. Assholes who are voting against gay marriage, who want less representation in the media, etc. they are oppressing you, not me. I, like many other individuals on tumblr, am already an avid supporter of LGBT rights. And I, like many of these individuals, am in fact straight. You will gain nothing, nothing from this hate. Hate, spawns more hate, and I can attest to that. This hate will not eliminate straight people from the globe, it will not stop oppression, and it most certainly will not change the minds of bigots.
Look, I am in no way suggesting that straight people, in the real world, or on tumblr, have it any worse than LGBT people. We don’t. In comparison to the lives of LGBT members, our lives are a cake walk. I understand that we never have to worry about being discriminated against for our sexuality, or expressing our sexuality. I’m not even suggesting that cisphobia is real, alright? But what I am suggesting is that there has been growing support for people who like to undermine and belittle people, purely because they happen to straight/cis. I don’t care what your excuse is, unless someone has specifically wronged you, there is never, never, justification for hate. You cannot punish an entire sexuality because of the actions of the few. Straight/cis is not synonymous with hate. Straight/cis is not synonymous with evil. A sexuality does not define you as a person, you define yourself. There are good and bad people in every sexual orientation. So instead of hating on a group of people because a small percentage of people within that group are horrible, we should instead focus our efforts on weeding out these individuals and making them see the error to their ways.
P.S. If you would like to comment about, ” Oh, poor cis problems.”, then please, be my guest. I would be more than happy to have someone perfectly demonstrate the issue that I am talking about, and try to undermine me once again. Please, do me a favour an demonstrate how straight or cis people are constantly undermined when trying to talk about this subject. I would absolutely love if everyone could see this first hand.
This user brought up some very valid points. And I said this in my OP, just like we were born gay, straight people are born straight and they cannot help the fact that they are straight. Just like how we all say that gay is not synonymous with pedophile, straight is not synonymous with hate. (they might rhyme but they're NOT synonymous

What I hate is the word faggot being used non stop in chatrooms. I can't understand how it got to be so common since a couple yrs ago. Its really frustrating to be on cam and all these straight people m & f no matter the age an using the word faggot in ever text or sentence. Its pissing me off and really pissing me off when I see other gay people on cam and they seem to take the abuse. I wonder WTF is wrong with you people letting them joke with the word faggot so much???? Needless to say I don't and quickly get banned once I call them out.
