It would be the untimely death of my partner of 26 years who is also seven years younger than I am. I would be alone and in my seventies, and no matter how hot a man I am, I would probably never experience another close relationship. Ouch!

Being handcuffed to a chair and having someone tie a bag of live rats over my head..

I'll be a lifetime getting THAT image out of my head. But, in my youth, I did have a relatively good-sized rat run up my pantleg. On the inside. He didn't run back down.

In a third-world country, I was asked--very politely--by a pimply-faced adolescent in military uniform carrying a very large semiautomatic weapon to please cross the street and use the sidewalk on the other side as I walked past the presidential residence. I was traveling alone and no one, including my closest friend, knew exactly where I was. Scares the hell out of me now. At the time, not so much.

It wasn't fun, but about a month ago I had to pick up a 4-foot-long snake to keep it from getting into a place in my warehouse where I couldn't get it, AND where it couldn't find its way out. The last thing I wanted was for a big-ass snake to die, and rot away, and I can't get to it.

Insects!

I will run away for an innocent and only grasshopper or it will send at least shivers down my spine.
Even the smallest bug will freak me out.

I know that most of them are pretty harmless, but still I'm frightened. Or maybe that's a proof that I'm just a sock....

Strange story, about three weeks ago...I walked right up to a dragonfly which had landed on my car, it didn't fly away, and it actually let me stroke it gently for about a minute...

I feel you on that man. I just had an HIV scare myself and I thought my life was over.

I had almost every ARS symptom in the book:

I learned a life lesson. I NEVER want to go through this stress again.

I had a similar scare in 1985. My sexual libido and activity has never returned to pre-1985 levels...not even close.
