What kind of watch do you wear?

I'm attempting to revive this thread because I've become more and more interested in watches. For my college graduation I received a very nice watch. Omega Railmaster (not my photo):



I can't afford to start a serious collection, but I will probably add some moderately priced watches over time. Is anyone else into watches?

Reckon I hardly wear them as they weigh over a pound but I do have two Tissot watches. One was an X-mas gift and another was one I bought myself.

I own some nice dressy watches including a Hamilton, a Benrus, and a Lucien Picard, but for everyday I wear cheap watches with cool looks because I am hard on them them. I usually spend between $8. and $15. on them, use them for a while, then toss them and get a new one.

My brother and sister-in-law hated the Timex that I was wearing lately, so they got me a really nice Seiko watch for Christmas, with the insistence that I not be afraid to use it as an everyday watch. So that is what I now wear.

I really like Hamiltons. They're classy. My current favorite is the Thin-O-Matic:



Seiko's are good watches. I've put mine through two years of art school (charcoal, screen printing, welding, etc.) and it still works great.

I like it, it's lasted me for longer than I can remember. Need to have the battery replaced though

A few years back I found a Hamilton Ventura, just like this one, at a garage sale for $20. It just needed a new band, new batteries and a good cleaning and it works fine. My jeweller nearly shit when I showed it to him and offered me a grand for it on the spot. I declined and put it in my drawer, never to see daylight again. I wear a Kalvin Klein chronograoh for every day use. I've since started collecting old watches. Thrift stores and house sales have been very good to me.
