What Kinds of Music Do You Like?

There is such a diversity of tastes here at JUB. I was going through some of the music threads, and I saw names of artists from an incredible assortment of genres. It made me think of my own preferences. I like to think that I have an ecclectic taste in music--from alternative, to disco, to hip-hop and R&B. I find that as time goes on, I am expanding my tastes. I used to gravitate toward the more popular rap/pop/r&b types of music (i.e. Lil'Wayne, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, and the like). Nowadays, I'm listening to more adult, contemporary music. I am loving Brandi Carlisle, John Mayer, Anthony Hamilton, and India Arie, just to name a few. The point is, I'm interested in what types of music you like. Is there a particular genre that you lean toward?

i can get into a little bit of just about everything...except maybe Reggae and Classical. listen mostly to R&B, some rap---tend to lean away from the hardcore shit though. really been gettin into Oldies over the last couple years

My favourite bands are mostly alt. rock (Evanescence, Muse, Garbage, The Killers...) and symphonic/gothic metal (After Forever, Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation...). But I like a lot of stuff from here and there on the spectrum.
