I'm not interested in any news source with a very obvious bias, like FOX, or CBC. FOX is known for being very right-wing biased, but CBC is also very left-wing biased. You can see it a mile away, especially all the fluff stories they shoehorn in there.
Politically, I'm on the fence. I'd like to watch something more neutral, that doesn't feel like it's trying to brainwash me.
Also, Canada used to have a right-wing biased news channel called Sun News Network, and it was so bad, it could almost pass as a hilarious FOX parody!

I have never made any bones about it. My choices for local television news in Rochester is WROC, the CBS affiliate (which I watch in the evenings, along with the network's CBS Evening News). The "News 8" anchor team, Adam Chodak and Maureen McGuire, have great chemistry, and the best meteorologist and sportscaster in the market, Scott Hetsko, and John Kucko, respectively.

I also watch WHAM, the ABC affiliate, which also airs the network's "Good Morning America" program. WHAM (which calls itself "13 WHAM News" has the highest ratings, and the dean of Rochester anchors, that silver fox, Don Alhart).

I look online, hardly watch tv anymore.
We have regional news on channel 3, then on another channel we have news for my local area.

I watch local news from Peoria IL (19, 25, 31) if I watch at all, but when I do I watch so passively that I haven't even formed an allegiance after living here for 30 years. I am almost always multitasking when I watch. Nowadays I am leaning a little bit more toward Quincy-Hannibal (7, 10) as that market is offered on my DirecTV satellite system, though, as now I no longer require my antenna being directed at them where it will pick up almost nothing else. Q-H is also far more likely to mention news of my town than Peoria is.

Watch the same news. Usually on King, sometimes on Kong if I miss it at the normal time.
Yes, a fun fact. Two Puget Sound TV stations, KING and KONG, are the same ownership. KONG better covers the northern parts of the metropolis, it's not far from Mount Vernon and Bellingham. KING is a proper Seattle station.

Hey, THAT'S what stories about cute fluffy kittehs and Good Samaritans are for.

But I remember watching news 12 from Phoenix on a trip a few years ago. Though I'm not diabetic, I SWEARS that I must have been having an extreme sugar high by seeing a newscast which seemed to be almost nothing except fluffy kittehs and puppehs, renovation in a local park, bird migrations, the zoo, The Kardashians, etc. So sweet that it was nauseating.

^I worked at TV station for years. Our newscasts changed with each new news director. For a while we had what the reporters called the "County Fair News". Our news director would make them cover every festival, county fair, street fair that happened. They hated it. Mainly because they had to work a lot of weekends. However, our viewers loved it. We had our best ratings with that format.

We watch no local news.

I used to watch Dina Ruiz faithfully on the NBC Salinas Channel where she was the anchor...and then she married Clint Eastwood and left KSBW..damnit. She was a decent reporter who I trusted.

I usually tune in to the NBC station in San Jose for local events/weather/sports a couple times a week...

I watch CBC for national news, which is excellent, in-depth, well-researched and so on.

I don't really watch a lot of local news because I never know what I'm supposed to get out of that. Yaaay, a home show is coming!!

If I do watch, probably CTV. Global seems just a bit amateurish, plus their morning programming is guaranteed to feature a monologue from Angry Old Conservative Radio Guy From Our Sister Radio Station, and I ain't got time for that shit.

CBC local stations seem like they're all run by recent Television Arts graduates "with a passion for focussing on social justice and inclusion" or something, which is just as tedious.

For world news, I go to bbc for current events, or the economist for deeper analysis.

Yes, if it's not King..then Kong, King-Kong...

sometimes I switch to Q13 News because my fav..David Rose is right there :=D:
