What magazines should I subscribe to?

All my subscription have run out (except Out magazine, which keeps coming even though my subscription ran out months ago).

So I'm trying to decide what to get next. I want something substantial, that takes a while to read, not something you can finish on the supermarket checkout line.

Any recommendations?

The only magazine I subscribe to is too racy to suggest here. It's called "Amish Gone Wild".

The ones I subscribe to are:

Time, Newsweek
- I like the more in depth coverage of current events, esp. compared to the quick turning coverage on CNN, etc.

Car & Driver, Motor Trend
- I've been a car nut since I was 5

Mens Fitness, Mens Health
- I developed an interest in health/fitness a few years ago and glad I did

Advocate, Out
- I currently live in the gay version of Siberia. Seems like there's only 5 gay people in my city and 4 of them are women. So this is my information link to the gay world.

National Geographic!! I love that magazine.

I second the vote on Vanity Fair... it's my favorite magazine, there's lots to read and lots of pretty pictures. Vogue is my second favorite, but I don't read it, I just look at the pictures and make myself throw up so I can be that thin (just kidding... but I do like the clothes). I also enjoy Architectural Digest, W, and Premiere. I will occasionally also pick up a copy of Town & Country or GQ or Details.

Most of the ones I get are trade journals and way too boring and geeky to talk about here.

Of those that aren't ... I get National Geographic (and not just for the naked natives!), Money, Nutrition Action, and Business Week. And every once in a while I pick up Sunset, dwell, and Atomic Ranch. I love that kind of stuff.
