Well I have 0 older brothers so i guess im not a cool kid :-)
 
There are so many theories out there that I just think it's random. I don't believe that there is one cause for why people are gay. I'm my mom & dad's oldest son, My mom has a twin sister and her oldest son is gay too. I think my younger brother might be gay... actually i'm pretty sure of it. My mom's twin sister's second oldest son, 11yo, is gonna be gay when he gets a little older. I can see it comming. I have a brother that is 7yo and I could never picture him being gay in a million years. My mom's brother has two sons and i'm pretty sure they are gonna be gay too when they grow up. All that led me to believe that it runs in families but there were no gay people in my moms family before me and only one lesbian cousin older than me in my dad's family... and if anything , she would have made me more straight because she is such a macho man.
 
I've got an older brother, and three older sisters. My brother moved out when I was four. Does that have any bearing on anything..? BTW my dad was a mild alchoholic, and that was due to work.
 
BTW, the 9 y.o. twin thing in the webpage, just because it identies wearing pink nail polish doesn't mean it is gay. Being gay implies a sexual attraction to men. This youngster may be a transsexual, which may be because it thinks it is a not male, but probably female.

Indeed, theories abound.

I tend to see some probable wisdom in the notion that the same sex attraction, present as it is in the animal kingdom and with humanity per default, is a legitimate part of the evolutionary process directed towards creating individuals, who would be not propagating their own genetic pool directly but would serve as supporters to their siblings.

The theory does make some common sense, which is still miles and miles far away from making it right in any sense.

I don't know how much I believe it....I'm the older brother and I'm gay, but my younger brother is straight as an arrow. I do have a friend (also gay) who has a straight older brother though. Whatev, the cause doesn't REALLY matter, right?
 
I have three older brothers and two older sisters and I'm right handed. For me the answer has always been a simple one; most life on earth has limets to overpopulation. And we, as animals produce gay offspring, to prevent overpopulation. Unfortunately, man ,in his stupidity, created religious beliefs that tend to defeat the purpose.
 
I had a older sister and i'm left handed, but ya i did have a few girly things when i was a kid but i also had gi joe stuff etc.. What does that make me? bi? :p
