I'm thinking about joining Netflix and I'm curious as to what are the best or more popular plans. I know everyone has different needs or preferences but it would be helpful to get a heads-up from those who already took the bait.

Cheers

2 at a time for $14.99 a month. I get 6 To 10 movies a month. No late fees, that's my favorite part!

3-at-a-time. Not so many that they're piled up but I still get plenty of movies over the course of the month.

Blockbuster is worth much more than Netflix. You can exchange the online movies at the store when you're done and pick a movie out at no charge.

I just upped to 4 at a time. I stopped watching TV completely, and now watch a movie every day. Sometimes twice a day. A NETFLIX addiction, i guess. My queue is now up to 232. Yea, I know, "get a life".

I'm at 3 at a time right now. During the summer, I up it to 5 at a time.

I went with Blockbuster too because I can take the mailed ones and trade it in at the store instantly. Since I can exchange, I went with just 1 at a time. BB also sends you an e-coupon each month to get another store rental. Haven't ran out of viewing material yet.

(note: their commercials right now during the BCS Bowl game explain it perfectly)

Thanks guys. This is all very helpful. I didn't even consider Block Buster. Now I have to compare and make a choice.....Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!! : )

ps what do you mean by "prioritized lower"??

I have the Netflix 3 at a time plan - 3 seems to be the right number for me - its enough that if I have the time I can watch three in a row - and its enough that I can plan my queue so that I get a variety depending on mood. Sometimes I return them pretty quickly - other times they lay around for 2 weeks before i watch them. I get pretty much a two day turnaround from them which is fine. Its nice that Blockbuster has the store option - but if I wanted that I've got a neighborhood place much closer than Blockbuster and wouldn't have Netflix - so I'd say Netflix is just fine for me.

i'm on the 3 at a time plan.

love netflix!

I tend to hang on to my movies for at least a week or more if I really liked them.

I've been with them for a while and at that time, they only had the 4 movie plan. When they switched over to the plans, they kept me on the 4 movie and a lower rate, like 18. a month.

I love netflix, hate blockbuster.

Okay, one more Netflix question:

Say you have a list of 10 movies that are in line to come to you, what if you want movies 9 and 10 before movies 1,2 and 3. Can you choose which movies come to you first and can you change that order?

Also what if I have to research Gone With The Wind; can I have Gone With The Wind sent right away or would it just go on my waiting list?

Thanks a lot. I appreciate this first hand advice.

Go with Blockbuster if you have one nearby. I put all the independent films or out of the ordinary films in my queue. Then after I receive them in the mail and watch them I take them to the store and exchange them for the big titles that always seem to be 'very long wait' in my queue. Another in store trick is look for the guaranteed instock titles. I've seen at least 6 movie in the last 60 days for free because if its not in stock you get a rain check. We usually have 3 movie sitting around at any one time. As was mentioned we also get two coupons in our email to print out for games or movies. We end up using those when the nephews come over to rent the games for the X-box. We go with three at a time for something like $15 I think.

But if you don't have a Blockbuster nearby go with Netfilx. An interesting side note, there are companies that do the mail in rentals for porn too.

Yes you can change the queue of the movie to anything you want. And you can put a long ass list of movies on there.
