What Part of "Equality" Doesn't the Right-wing Understand?

Because "equality" is a liberal term that has a socialist connotation. It implies that we are all the same, and if we are all the same, why not "spread the wealth" and attack the upper class so that everyone has the same amount of money in their pocket & bank account, and their income should be the same, regardless of their degree, career, education, or experience?

If you want to talk to conservatives about LGBT issues and "equality" you have to learn how to use language that resonate with conservatives.

Conservatives prefer the term "freedom" and "liberty".

Therefore, if you want to get more support from conservatives & "right-wingers" for LGBT issues, you have to learn how to speak their language.

If you frame the discussion for marriage equality as a "freedom to marry the person who you love".......now you're starting to talk to conservatives.
 
Oh they believe in freedom alright, for themselves only, not for the ones who, they believe, are trying to end their deluded 1950s fantasy, that was a fantasy even in the 1950s.

They use their religious dogmas as a shield and use (ironically) the government as a tool to impose their traditionalist ideals.

Same goes for the economy, they believe in outdated concepts, except taxation during war/occupation, which they seem to not look to (or outright deny) the past to as guidance.
