The trouble with blocking investigation after investigation is that it is, for all intents and purposes, an admission of guilt. There is something they want to keep secret. Trump hasn't figured that out yet.

This looks like it has to do with the attempts to embarrass and expose Biden by tying him to corruption, even though evidence couldn't be found to corroborate it. This was about pressuring the new Ukraine president to force an investigation against Biden despite the lack of evidence... this is like their attempts to tie Hillary to colluding with anti-Russian Ukraine leadership... Trump and his people (Rudy Giuliani freely admitted going to Ukraine to gather evidence against Biden) want to distract against Trump and his relationship with Putin. Enough is enough.

It's confusing because it's just chaos. Nothing more, people who try to make sense of things can't figure it out because it doesn't make sense.

Can CLINTON and OBAMA be left out of these discussions...PLEASE? This is about the current president, not about political has-beens (including a woman who will very likely never again hold political office...Obama still might).

Obama and Clinton are about as relevant to this as some obscure law of thermodynamics, or a discussion about orchid-breeding, or construction techniques used for Roman aqueducts.

This without-a-doubt ties in with his willingness to let Putin, the head of a country which is an enemy to the American people and the planet's strongest existential threat to the existence of the United States, wage a modern version of WAR against this country. Russia already has us entirely by the balls as they have hacked into electrical grids and water plants in the U. S., banking systems, and very possibly the entire electoral system. Russia can crash us back to the Stone Ages any time they wish

It goes way beyond anything that these people, or Nixon, or James Buchanan, or Warren Harding, ever did. This leaves George W. Bush's fake Iraq war in the dust./

This is about treason.

Trump had the Clintons to his wedding with Melania, and before he became completely unhinged and fully evolved into a demagogic troll was friendly with them. Obama tried to be civil and supportive as per the traditions of outcoming presidents regarding newly elected ones, even from different parties. This fixation with them, as well as anyone who comes to represent things anathema to the unhinged right, is pathetic... I don't revel in people's illnesses, but Trump is not well in the head... always a liar, and something of a sociopath but it's worsened exponentially in recent years. But it goes beyond him... it's the truly sick fixations on the right that if those in power don't stand up against is going to destroy us as a nation.... and I'm not encouraged at all anything is going to markedly change soon. Look, at this point, Nancy Pelosi's determination to hold off impeachment talk be damned... if this guy is really going to be badgering a leader of a democratic nation to do something to bolster his presidential campaign... and we don't know everything that the whistleblower has seen/heard to cause him to act... even if there is no law against what Trump may have done his incredible lack of judgement in doing so proves beyond a shadow of a doubt he deserves to be impeached and if the Republicans in the Senate are going to go on the record still carrying his water, well let that be recorded and the American people can next November decide to remedy that once every sordid detail comes out. When there is an impeachment hearing, all demands for related documentation and witnesses cannot be resisted by the Administration, to hear the whole case ALL related info must be disclosed to the Congressional committee. Before this revelation, maybe Pelosi's strategy of Trump suffering a political death by a thousand cuts of investigations may have been enough, but Trump has truly crossed the line and this only strengthens the hand of those aiming for impeachment. With this, it's not so important to protect a House majority(as important as it is) but to stay faithful to the idea of this being a nation of laws and that our president be held accountable for his/her actions... if that person is not living up to their elected duties and responsibilities, and this whistleblower's complaints which were deemed credible and urgent by the inspector general strongly points to the awful fact that Trump is not fit for office, abusing his powers for political gain. That is completely unacceptable, and if the Republicans are going to abandon their responsibilities and duties than it is imperative the Democrats uphold their end here.
 
The time for games is over, and the adults must step in and clear the floor. For once, partisan considerations should be tossed aside... this is to prevent something like this from ever occurring again. Only forceful, decisive action will act to prevent future demagoguery like this. I'd love to have Republicans on board as well... and there are a number of conservative Republicans who are never Trumpers but who are no longer at the table with the party overall... Justin Amash, a conservative Congressional representative from Michigan, left the party and has been ostracized by leadership and shunned by other representatives and party activists. If the Republicans want to be damned as well, let them be damned... let the record state that at least the Democrats stood firm in protection our nation and Constitution and not as partisan Democrats, but as Americans who truly love their country.
