Well I love the idea of cunt too much to give it up to a handful of partisan Republican Jubbers.
I don't think that the 20% (is it really that many?) are idiots for being either neo-cons or even Republicans....
What to do, what to do?????
We know that the right wing are not zombies....although some might argue that having had their brains apparently eaten by the elephant in the room, they do seem to want to eat the brains of the electorate.
So, not cunts, not idiots, not Zombies and there are no insect behavioural traits that I can see.....
From observations in the wild, the most vocal champion seems to desire to belong to a collective affinity, probably dating back to being ignored in high school......but the banding together of the like minded seems to be undercut by the disappearance of so many of the potential members of the collective.
For those who have been sacrificed along the way, one guesses they could be called 'The Boys in the Banned', but that doesn't really address the needs of those who have, for the time being, been 'left behind'.
Those most opposed to the doctrine of self satisfied, me first sycophants supporting the failed policies of charlatans and ideologues like Bachmannn, Santorum, Cain, Gingrich, et all, might call them the 'Misinformed', or the 'Misfits', but that doesn't encompass the more rational who might be hoping that the expedient and moderate Romney or Huntsman etc. might represent a viable alternative to the batshit crazy.
If the intentions were evil, they could be considered a cabal. But there's not enough evidence that they are actually capable of conspiring to undo the trend toward the liberal centre.
Not a clique, because that implies they are the 'Cool kids', which, with Bush/Cheney out of power and their cause represented by the sorriest bunch of losers to occupy a debate stage in years....they are not and have no chance of being until about 2016.
When menaced though, they can become violently angry and threatening, so maybe 'Pack' would be a good moniker. Like JUBPAC....naw...sounds too much like a legitimate collective.
There's not enough to constitute a faction, not enough commonality to warrant a coterie.
Gang? At their worst, when supported by the Banned, there's no question that this is how the 20%, who at that time looked more like the 80% behaved.

At their most virulent and bomabastic...perhaps a 'Cugel' would be an appropriate synonym for the 'Club' at least one of them yearns for.

And I don't think they deserve the descriptor of Modsuckers either. Maybe Felchers???? Is that a possibility? Maybe unfair though...given that I myself have been accused of trying to tongue the butt of one of the beleaguered yet fearless moderators.
