Moderators are members here too.
Even we don't necessarily agree with each others politics, and we sometimes don't necessarily agree on what type of actions should be taken toward certain members.
I think that it's fair to say that I've actually been harder on people that
I do and have called friends here, than those that I don't really know that well, or don't really care for.
Unless of course they've egregiously violated their posting privileges here, then they're just g o n e; aka banned.
And what's even more ironic than that, from my personal perspective, is I've found that those
who scream the loudest against the perceived "
minority conservative" posters here,
are the least friendliest of the bunch.
So long as everyone is nodding their heads in agreement with their every post,
they're happier than pigs in shit. As my Grandpa used to say.

of you use the Post Report feature, and we truly and honestly appreciate that.
Yet...
There's another feature that we often encourage members to use and that's the
Ask the Moderators Forum.
There are close to a dozen other volunteer JUB Mods here, where at least 80%
of them won't even post or comment in CE&P because many of them are afraid that they're either going to step on something, or step
in something.
IOW they feel the same way that many of those who don't post in CE&P feel.
Maybe, using this thread and another recent thread in this forum, the Mod Team might decide to formulate another approach to how CE&P is moderated.
I don't see why we'd have to change any of the Posting Guidelines, but perhaps taking a
zero tolerance approach when enforcing those guidelines.
Why are some of the Moderators getting worked up about it?
Because we all know how CE&P gets around election time, especially when it's a POTUS election, and we forecast that it's going to be contentious.
If these types of threads, and responses are going to be the rule rather than the exception?
Then some of you can seriously go and fuck yourselves.
Especially those that I like and call friend.
(Those who I call friends here, and who we share a level of respect between wouldn't force me to take any action against them.)
Most new members who arrive here everyday, those who want to seriously discuss the issues rather than worry about "the percentages" and which "mod" is friends with who, will just go somewhere else.
Which is why this member who also volunteers as a moderator, really doesn't care which of you leave right now, but we are going to get this sorted out in short order.
I can promise you that if the volunteer Moderators are forced to take a zero tolerance policy that neither the so called 80% or the 20% (regardless of what
anyone wants to call them) are not going to truly like any of the Moderators here.

Maybe that's what we need to do, and should have been doing in the first place.
At least some members wouldn't be able to think that CE&P is their own personal bully pulpit.
