  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What should you be accomplishing today?

Puppy-sitting my parents' dog and writing my senior thesis. The dog is well taken care of, unfortunately my senior thesis is unrelated to gay forums.

Nothing at all to do with cock size, cut or uncut, and how much you cum and how far you shoot????

What kind of a thesis is this anyhow?

What I ended up doing, in complete contradistinction to what I intended to do (I had my plans, but Caroline had hers, and hers were more fun so she won):
  • Go to Sophisticated Lady and try on a gorgeous faux fur coat before picking up my check for jewelry I consigned last month. It's supposed to go on sale next weekend, if it's still there I'll buy it.
  • Go to Cost Plus and buy an adorable little stuffed elephant and a box of chocolate-covered orange jellies.
  • Go to Chinatown and have lunch (garlic long-beans, roast duck, rice, won-ton soup).
  • While in Chinatown, buy two tiny little turtles in a plastic cage for $13 from an ancient apple-doll-faced lady selling figs and turtles out of a little red wagon. Name them Claudius and Agrippa (I don't know why, the names just occurred to me out of the blue). Agrippa appears to be blind, and Claudius hasn't stopped trying to escape.
  • Go to the Tower Records that's closing down and having a clearance sale, and spend money I can't really afford on CDs (Michale Bublé, Nina Simone, the Phantom of the Opera film soundtrack) and DVDs (two collections, the Marlene Dietrich Collection including Morocco, Blonde Venus, The Devil is a Woman, The Flame of New Orleans, and Golden Earrings; and the Carole Lombard Collection, including Man of the World, We're Not Dressing, Hands Across the Table, Love Before Breakfast, The Princess Comes Across, and True Confession) that I don't need. Wish I'd read the signs more closely, since they said "Up to 30% Off Everything" (the "Up to" part was very tiny) before picking out so many things.
  • Come home and build a new home for Claudius and Agrippa out of an old serenity fountain that we haven't used in years.
  • Watch TV.
  • Contribute to JUB.
But the night is still young. Let's see how much more time I can waste! :D

Well here we go; a new day and a new list of things to get done.

I am going to attack, with vigour and enthusiasm, the boring chores this morning and then spend the rest of the day doing things for me.

DAMN! I'm late!!! It's nearly 8pm here so there's not too many hours left. What have I got to do??? Oh no, I need a shower because I stink !oops!. And then, I'll see you guys back here on JUB before bedtime. Laters

Thank you Riverrick!

This thread combined with "JUB's life changing THREAD" were the stimulation I needed to get my finger out and get on with things. It is not that I was vegetating or doing nothing but everything was dragged on or delayed.

Most work was punctuated with long breaks sitting doing absolutely nothing.

So the house work is done. The bed changed and sheets washed, plus three machines finished. The windows are cleaned and my shoes polished.

Now I am going to make a tuna salad for lunch and instead of taking a nap which ends up taking all the afternoon I am going to take myself out for a walk in the sun.

In fact I shall take a book and go and sit on the sea front and pretend to read whilst I eye up all the guys strolling by. Then I can make an early programme at the cinema and back for a glass of wine and a pleasant meal.

Little do we know what influence our words are going to have when we write them. :D

Well, you're welcome! I think that its hard to do things alone. If alone, who even knows you did anything besides yourself? The thread helped me also. It was fun to accomplish something and then tell everyone.

Robert~Marlénè, I hope you have a lot of spending cash. You sure are quite the shopper. I hope your turtles are doing well. Post some pics, huh?

Well its still early here today and I need to

Clean the house
Wash windows before Winter
Still have to sort the mail
Workout again
Go play with my niece and nephew :)

Wish me luck! :p

I feel so lazy compared to you Riverrick! Today, I will see what happens
My list:

Clean the roof and gutters
Mow the lawn
Change the oil in 2 cars
cut the new carpet for the bathroom to size
Laundry
Oh yeah, and eat!

Now let's see what I really get done! Probably after eating, I will nap!#-o

Ok, I’ll try this since you all seemed to get a lot completed yesterday. I did absolutely nothing important. I have a project to complete for work, it was due Friday, but I got an extension until Monday at 9:00 am. I have to work on it today and I need to finish the laundry. Now if only I can stop procrastinating and get to work.

Divide it up into pieces and tell us each time you finish a piece.

We'll help you celebrate!

For today:
  • Take the Grandmother to church. Hope that The Beautiful Boy is there. If so, ogle him discreetly; if not, look up interesting Bible passages.
  • Brunch (our constant après église tradition). Not sure where... someplace extra nice, since it's my niece's birthday tomorrow.
  • Take The Niece to get her hair done as her birthday present. It needs doing, she's been futzing with paint-in colors again and it's a weird mauve shade (naturally flax-blonde) and very badly cut.
  • Come home and take a nap (another après église tradition).
  • Run a load of shirts through the laundry. I only have a few left.
  • JUB a little, or JUB a lot.
  • I kind of feel like working on my novel... maybe I'll be able to so do this evening. If not, I'll just waste it in front of the TV again.
I'll also post pictures of Claudius and Agrippa in their lovely new home. I think Agrippa is not long for the world, she hasn't moved much since I bought them. And no, I couldn't really afford any of the money I spent yesterday. Especially since my current temp assignment ends next week, and I am never entirely certain that my next assignment will start promptly or if I'll get another impromtu unpaid vacation.

Okay, of course I added to the list. I had to straighten the room and clean out the briefcase to find the stuff I needed for the project. So far it is going well. 2 loads of laundry completed and 2 parts of the project done. Now I have to fold the laundry and complete the last 2 parts of the project. I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. :D

I'm so proud of you!!!

Let's see. I've cleaned the windows, done more laundry, done the dishes, changed the sheets.

Not bad. Need to go out to dinner with the folks tonight and stop in and see my niece and nephew. By the way, its a pretty day here.

I'm a wee bit late to this thread, but my weekend has been spent at Lowes and working outdoors again. Fourth weekend in a row at Lowes getting supplies to finish raised beds before the first frost. I finished them today! (THANK THE UNIVERSE!)

This is the area this spring after I finished the first raised bed.

I'll post the finished beds later. I still need to get the cap blocks and soil to fill them and place the pond in the larger bed. Ugg more work to finish, plus I really need to cut the damn grass.](*,)

Wow! They're Beautiful! Really!

Great job Lunaris!!! I can appreciate this because I have this job ahead of me. I planted my first garden in this home this year. And it flooded! well, we had a lot of rain. Anyhow, a lot of my seeds never sprouted and after looking at the entire lawn, I realized it was too low where I planted. But its otherwise the perfect spot. Oh, and the soil is clay.

So it seems that the answer is raised beds to grow my veggies in. But boy is THAT going to be a lot of work. Hmmn. Maybe I can hire you! :D

Hey, you have a great week too! Glad you got it all done.

It helps to have a little JUB company when we've got these chores to do, huh?

LOL,Oh how I do hate clay, let me count the ways to curse that soil structure! We did the front yard last year. Here's a couple of pictures from this year, I need to scan what the area looked like before.

Absolutely Gorgeous, Lunaris! I love the flower beds and all of the different kinds of plants you have in them. You are really devoted to your yard. ..|

Watering IS a chore. I try to get out at twilight and turn on a few sprinklers and hand water the rest. But if I miss a few lousy days, everything starts wilting. Oh, and the clay. Yea, its just horrible. I bought some bags of topsoil and peatmoss to try to loosen it up some but they had little impact.

Hey, heres a huge mistake I made this year. I planted sunflowers and morning glories next to each other. I had no idea that the morning glories would go crazy and try to grow up anything they could wrap themselves around. So they choked off a lot of the sunflowers untill I got tired of it all and ripped them out.
