Ya I know, but I'm not looking for a thousand sites (which may or may not be good). I'm looking for the recommended "best".
 
I followed your advice, just out of interest, and the results were pathetic. I no way would I have found an escort for a night of heavenly bliss here in Nice by using Google.

Mind you I am not very good at Google so perhaps that is the problem. Perhaps recommendations are preferable to trying to sort out the morass of sites that Google throws out.

Using google on RENTBOYS brought up

as the first hit (it's a site about film)

Using google on MALE ESCORTS brought up
a Vancouver, Canada entertainment classfieds section

so no Google is not working on this, only people's recommendations help. Also, there is no point in listing country-specific escort sites. Large databased "international" sites are prefered, especially since I'm travelling.

Right these worked easily. I had a reasonable choice for Nice, they were attractive looking boys and the prices were listed as well as their "skills".

But I could not find these web sites when I Googled "male escorts"

Joeslifeyork you are quite right that Google throws up numerous sites but only if I don't use Google France. I might add that the sites I found this way didn't have a search for towns and I required a pass (payable) to get to see their pictures.

So all in all it seems to me that recommendations win over Google in this case.

I was quite tempted by some of the guys I saw; at 400 euros the night they were affordable. ;)

But if I were to pay then I want the guy to meet all my secret fantasies and unfortunately none of them did. So it seems "rentboys" are not the solution to breaking my celibacy. :D

Dude, if you have got 'secret fantansies', you have got to make them less secret, if you want to transform your fantasies into reality. Escort dudes are very versatile and some will go very far to meet your expectations against an appropriate compensation for their efforts. If you want them to advertise for anything but the 'usual stuff' or if you want them to read your thoughts... I guess, it is going to be celibacy for a very long time. :)

Usually rentboy.com - altough SA renboys are quite scarce. A year from now (soccer wc 2010) hundreds of thousands of people will be flocking to SA, yet their luck will be out trying to find a worthwhile SA rentboy.
