Years ago, after St. Ronnie allowed all the Russians in..... My ex and I were in the store. Was standing in front of the refrigerator case. Some old Russian woman elbowed me out of the way. I'm like "what the fuck?". Didn't happen the 2nd time I was in that store. Some other Russian woman tried to pull the same stunt. I really gave her the stink-eye and said "you really don't want to do that". She took one look at me and backed off.

And to answer your question: Yes, had she elbowed me, she would've hit the floor.

Xenophobia would have been a better word than islamophobia. But that still has to be shown.

Of course every culture is better at some things than other cultures. And I find it hard to believe a random group of people who all dress the same and talk the same all just randomly magically happen to be pushy assholes, without culture at least being part of the issue. Given the sense of order and principles of non-confrontation that dominate Japanese culture, it would be hard to imagine a Japanese group fighting off other customers for the attention of a shop clerk. You would have to make it an official festival "Shop Clerk Wrestling Day" to make the Japanese suspend the norms of courtesy and to be comfortable to behave that way. Make it part of Golden Week and everyone would do it lest they embarrass their family by failing to participate.

Xenophobia is what I fear and try to guard against, I have always tried to be friendly and polite to people from other nations, it has to be scary to start over in a new land.
