Well I can like almost anything but I hate Kylie, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Scissor Sisters. Anyone that plays to the gay stereotype (which put me off Madonna too).

My current musical needs is depending of my emotional stat.When it`s evening and tired by the work today i would prefer some soft music in my headphones-Natacha Atlas,Toires,Kabily Touseg is my choice right now.When I cook or vacumcleaning house or sorta I queue a large tech house set-Marusha or someting from Hardcell,Reeko or Pendulum productions.When i do my best hobby work-painting I get high with Dimmu Borgir,Impaled Nazarene or Borknagar.It`s a symphony of black and death metal.I knlw it`s weird taste of music but...

new guy here. haha. and of course first thread i went to was the music thread. intersting...i wasn't expecting to find people who enjoyed yeah yeah yeahs or velvet underground. i have a broad taste, but i do listen to one thing more than others. i noticed some trip hop lovers, got to love le portishead and massiveattack. sorry folks, but i can't handle any kind of emo, screamo, metalcore, hardcore, pop punk mainstream junk. i just can't take it. drives me nuts.

Wow, I'm really impressed by the variety I've seen in this thread!!

Myself personally, I HATE country...no offense to anyone that likes it!

BUT, Led Zeppelin is by far my most favorite band of all time. Their lyrics, music, everything about them is just freaking amazing! Also, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, CCR, Janis Joplin, almost anything from the 70's just speaks to me, for lack of a better word.

But, on the other hand, I love almost everything else - all the popular pop bands mentioned before, along with ABBA (duh) CSNY, Beastie Boys, Elton John, Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, Coldplay, The Cranberries, DMB, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, the list could go on and on!

I am kind of a hippie at heart, which is why I think I should have been born 30 years ago. Greatful Dead, Phish, String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic, LOVE them all!! Plus, I've played piano since I was in second grade, so I love all classical music as well (Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, etc.)

Now if I could only find a guy that likes the same music as me
